I think expecting to be perfect is a big block for many writers.

For sure, I agree. We always want it to be perfect before we can write or even think of publishing.

Sure, the first draft may not be good enough for publication but I think usually after one edit, we have something worthy of putting out there.

The first draft is fine, but if your instinct says there should be another draft, I guess, you should adhere to it....what do you think?

I write maybe once or twice a week now. It's not really a block that's stopping me but just not having that much to say. :)

Nothing having much to say? I think I have a cure for that....do I? Yes. Read a lot. You cannot write if you don't read.
