😥😠😥 There have already been so many sad stories in Uganda this year and unfortunately here is the next one...
Last week Charles died.
He was only 43 years old.
It is very sad that the cause was tonsillitis.
Here in Germany, tonsillitis is not a big deal.
Nobody dies from it, because with medical treatment, antibiotics and painkillers you can quickly get it under control.
In Uganda, people have no health insurance and often no money for a doctor or medication.
Once again, a person who didn't have to die!
This is really sad and frustrating!
He leaves behind two children aged 12 and 14.
The mother left the family when the children were still small.
They were raised by their grandmother.
Charles was buried and the family now has to pay €300 for it.
Of course, they don't have the money.
It will be hard enough to feed the children at all,
as the father's income is no longer available.
To pay for the funeral, they now have to sell their land.
We want to prevent that, because if the children lose the land,
they will have nothing, no home and no way of
to grow anything. This in turn secures some of the food.
We have therefore launched a fundraising campaign for the family.
The funeral costs are to be paid from this.
If more money is raised, it will go to the two children
and the grandmother. They can then use it to buy food.

Hier in Deutschland ist eine Mandelentzündung keine große Sache. Sterben tut daran niemand, denn durch ärztliche Behandlung, Antibiotika und Schmerzmittel bekommt man das schnell in den Griff.
In Uganda haben die Menschen keine Krankenversicherung und häufig auch kein Geld für den Arzt und Medikamente.
Also einmal mehr ein Mensch, der nicht hätte sterben müssen!
Das ist wirklich traurig und frustrierend!
Er hinterlässt zwei Kinder im Alter von 12 und 14 Jahren.
Die Mutter hat die Familie verlassen, als die Kinder noch klein waren.
Sie wurden von der Großmutter aufgezogen.
Charles wurde beerdigt und die Familie muss nun 300,-€ dafür bezahlen.
Das Geld haben sie natürlich nicht.
Es wird schon schwer genug sein, die Kinder überhaupt zu ernähren,
da das Einkommen des Vaters wegfällt.
Um die Beerdigung zu bezahlen, müssen sie jetzt ihr Land verkaufen.
Wir möchten das verhindern, denn wenn die Kinder das Land verlieren,
haben sie gar nichts mehr, kein Zuhause und auch keine Möglichkeit mehr,
etwas anzupflanzen. Dies wiederum sichert einen Teil der Lebensmittel.
Wir haben deshalb eine Spendenaktion für die Familie gestartet.
Die Beerdigungskosten sollen davon bezahlt werden.
Falls mehr Geld zusammenkommt, bekommen das die beiden Kinder
und die Großmutter. Sie können dann davon Lebensmittel kaufen.

Das tut mir sehr leid für die Kinder und die Großmutter. Echt traurig das heutzutage noch einer wegen sowas sterben muss. Ich wünsche dem ganzen Dorf jedoch vorallem den 2 Kleinen sehr viel Kraft und das ihr euer Ziel mit der Spendenaktion erreicht und sie nicht auch noch ihr zu Hause verlieren.
Ich schau mal, was ich beisteuern kann wenn auch nicht viel.
