It was yet another gloomy day, as I walked around the local country park on my daily walk. Even though the sky was overcast, filled with heavy clouds, the sun came out now and again. The bad weather is the reason I occasionally struggle with my challenge of walking 10,000 steps each day. Despite my best efforts, there are days when I find myself falling a bit short of this figure. Nonetheless, I try to make up for it on other brighter days.
Although it was slightly waterlogged, I decided to stick to the footpath and complete a circular walk. In fact, I walked around several times.
It's good to see a little bit of greenery appearing in the small wooded area. Spring time cannot come quickly enough.
There weren’t many other people about apart from a few dog walkers. The weather is definitely putting people off.
Back in my own village, the red crested pochard is still on the village pond. It’s the first time one has visited, and I expected it to have flown off within a day. However, it seems to be happily swimming with the mallards. It really stands out with its orange-brown head with a red beak.
After throwing a few bits of bird seed on the floor for the robin, I made my way back to my car. 10,000 steps complete!
Wow! You did 10000 steps!! Quite good! I did 3000 steps yesterday going shopping for some bread! 😂
The natural ambience in the park was very nice too.
When I was cat sitting at my friend's house, I carried my phone with me, as she's got a big house. It really bumped my steps up. 😁
