I use to do my sorting after cleaning the house according to in future needed.
The stuff I knew i wont be needed soon stay far while those stuff i will be needing soon and frequently stays close and on top.
Definitely mate,one thing I love doing so much is house work and to be very honest and sincere,,it gives me more peace when am doing house chores cause this are things I find so easier to do and attend to mate
I do sort things both when necessary and for future purposes. Make an environment clean and clear which is part of health care
Cleaning up is another form of joy to me. The best part is if I'm doing it with music. Darn!

To the question, I sort things according to their priorities. If I know I'd be the cap or the towel, I keep them in places where I would readily find them. This way, I prevent scattering and digging up in search of them when the time comes.
