Law doesn't help, a better culture does
Prostitutes are a lot like miners and war soldiers: people who got into a horribly abusive job due to their terrible financial circumstances. No matter how context-specific one might want to get, this is still a regular venue for capitalism. Ideally, they should get help from governments like any other poor person. Since they don't, studies have proven both criminalizing and legalizing are not good enough, although legalizing better stabilizes sex workers' life.
Do you know why governments will never really offer help? Because people want hookers! Rich people want hookers. Rich people run the government, since they sponsor politicians. Rich people are often abusive motherfuckers who want the poor to stay poor so they have someone they can abuse.
How are the wealthy men going to get dozens of beautiful women throwing themselves at them if those women are independent? That same set of abusive men are the ones who set an example followed by a billion other men. If you want to eradicate conditions leading up to prostitution, you're fighting the ones at the top. The only real way to do this is by uniting enough people who aren't at the top.
So if you want the situation to change, you should promote a shift in culture. Compassionate people won't abuse women. Compassionate communities and organizations are willing to extend their hands to those in need. You want people to be more compassionate, so you should promote and reward compassion. Heck, this even has the immediate effect that a compassionate client won't act abusively towards a hooker, so you can gauge ongoing success.
You know what doesn't promote compassion? Shaming prostitutes' clients. If you're not compassionate, yet still want to support prostitutes, you're being selectively compassionate, which goes against your own goals since you negatively impact the ones you're not compassionate towards, making them less inclined to help you or even see things the way you do. Not coming off as a hypocrite helps your cause a lot.
It's also important to mention that, during the time the problem isn't solved, they still need customers in order to feed themselves. The last thing you want to do is make customers angry, since they are a lot more likely to lash out at prostitutes than at you.

Porque as pessoas querem prostitutas! Pessoas ricas querem prostitutas.

Promoting compassion and addressing the root causes of sex work, such as poverty and lack of opportunities, are important steps toward a more equitable society. However, this is a complex issue with no easy solutions, and it involves a wide range of stakeholders, including governments, advocacy groups, and communities.
It’s crucial to engage in respectful and informed discussions on this topic, acknowledging the diverse perspectives and experiences of those involved. Efforts to improve the lives of sex workers should ideally include input from sex workers themselves, as their voices are central to understanding their needs and challenges.
Thank you for drafting this
Compassion can be a part of i.e., marketing campaigns of entertainment products and declared influencers' preferences. It can be meticulously included to lead people on to its benefits. This must be done in a capitalistic way to achieve success!

you are 100% right, they offer no help because they are benefiting from it.
Sad truth!
I agree with you
Thank you.

I agree that the biggest problem with prostitution is the way these women are treated. However, I do think it should be up to them whether they continue in sex work or not. I'm sure plenty more can be done to help make their job a safer one well before trying to outlaw it due to trafficking and other abuses. People need to be able to make their own choices about their lives and bodies, and they also need to be both respected and protected when they do so! Thanks for speaking up on such a difficult topic.
studies say most women become a sex worker because they don't have any other options. it's fine if they want to, but sex workers are usually in a position where they have to if they want to feed themselves and their children
