When it comes to personal comparisons, I believe it's often best not to compare with anyone, better or worse. Just with yourself and thriving to improve. But few people manage to do that without looking over the fence in the neighbor's yard.

I have an older sister and when we were in school I was always competing with her to be a better student... Without here, I would probably be a homeless drunk... 😂

Someone else in your shoes might have ended a homeless drunk.
Seem to me you had it within you the will to improve. The little competition with your sister in school kept you motivated early on, when you could have chosen some bad paths.
