He was on duty serving the State yet their mistook him for an armed robber. The mob attacked him beating him with stones, blocks, woods and anything they could grab to make sure that he dies on the spot. In all these, it was falls alarmed raised by a snail seller. Yes an officer has been callously murdered because of falls red flag. Passerby and the society were whipped to join the bandwagon of meting justice on him because to them, he is guilty and the possible solution is mob justice and nothing else. This is how Maj. Captain Mahama was gruesomely murdered by the people of Denkyira.

The topic mob justice is usually condemned by all if it involves a high ranking person in the society. We sit aloof while innocent lives meet their untimely death just because the society thinks they are guilty of a certain high crime of which the punishment s death. In our society, the dominant instincts ingrained in us by the society anytime a thief is arrested is mob justice. More so if the act involves something the society considers as an aberration like LGBTQI+. If a person is caught in such act, the society disregard the law and deliver its own justice be it good or bad to the person. In urban cities and cosmopolitan places, petty thieves are lynched to death instead of handing them over to the police for the law courts to deal with the cases.
We have become as guilty as the people we ping point at and lynch to death. In our debased mind, people should be meted out with mob justice yet we whine and complain about how politicians act with impunity. But sometimes, these acts are as a results of poor trial of known criminals and how they can bail themselves out if handled by they courts and police. Yes! the ineffective prosecution, culture, ineffective judicial system are all myriads of problem causing this yet, we have no excuse to murder let alone lynch someone to death with handing them over to the appropriate authorities. As a society, we're all guilty of these barbaric acts and must make conscious efforts to desist from it as soon as possible.

These is a stupid action,this mob action should be stopped and any one caught in the act should be arrested and face the consequences of the law
