Hello people,
Welcome to another POB contest. This time I dove in my archive to find one of the landmarks that I have visited. I tough about the windmills that are here in the Netherlands but the contest announcement already had a picture of a windmill in it. So that was not an option for me. So I started digging in my archive of travel picture.
And this is the landmark that I wanted to make a post about. The Tokyo sky tree. A 634 meters high Television tower in Sumida Tokyo. From this point the digital TV signals are distributed around. This tower is the highest building in japan and you can visit it. the highest point were you can go to is at 450 meters high. There you have the most epic view over the city of Tokyo.
This reflection was nice to see.
The closer you get, the more impressed I was.
And that the ride up. I payed a bit to much because they tricked me that I could take the VIP elevator so I didn't had to wait in line for the normal elevator. But I travel in off season so there was no line at all! I don't know how much it costed me but more than the normal price. So if you are there, pay close attention on that.
The first level was at 350 meters high. That already felt overwhelming.
The second observation floor was at 450 meters high. Those views were spectacular. I booked the ticket just before sunset. in the hope to capture some nice colors. To bad it was very cloudy.
Var away in the distance there was a little sun coming trough the clouds.
it was a beauty of an experience. I have never stood so high on a building. And when I walked back to the hotel, of course I could resist of making some night shots of the tower.

My friend, what a spectacular place, the views from the TV tower to see it live must have been a great experience, it just looks amazing in pictures, so I imagine being there must have been great, thanks for sharing it, cheers
