That's right, advances are good. They have made our lives easier, more comfortable, even with more luxuries in some cases, but these discoveries also have their dark side, nuclear bombs are proof of this, how many people have died in wars and clashes? That is the worrying thing about technological advances and discoveries, they advance us as a civilization, but also greed and human insensitivity grow.

The problem is more of selfishness that it is of technological advancement. People beef up war to make money off the populace.
