Liebe Leser, in der Schmerztheraphie gibt es seit Jahrzehnten keine echten Durchbrüche. Einerseits gibt es Paracetamol, Mefenaminsäure (Parkemed®) und (NSAR) wie Ibuprofen oder Diclofenac und deren leichte Verbesserungen (COX 2 Hemmer). Aber bei schweren Schmerzen wie nach Operationen sind die oft nicht ausreichend und man greift zu (auch Opiate genannt). Opiate (z.B. Morphin oder Fentanyl) docken direkt an den Opioid bzw. Opiatrezeptoren im Gehirn an, blockieren diese und verringern so das Schmerzempfinden. Sie haben eine starke Wirkung, aber auch ein hohes Suchtpotential und durch den Gewöhnungseffekt müssen immer höhere Dosen genommen werden, um die gleiche Wirkung zu erzielen ...
