Dividend of luck

There's no such thing as luck. It's something you have to work for it. Luck is merely a dividend of hard work. The more you sweat in your business, the luckier you become. This article will teach you how to earn more money with luck.

The secret to earning more with luck is to sweat out a lot. If you work really hard towards success, you'll see the fruits of your labor by the end of the day. This is the law of unintended consequences. The more you put into your effort - the more luck you'll receive. The more luck you obtain, the more hard work you'll need to do.

So what's so important about luck? The more you do it, the better your chances are to achieve success. And the more you experience positive change, the more you'll be able to share the good with others. Here are some thoughts I recently had while reading up on Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer":

"Tom and Huck" - How Tom and Huck met. How Huck saw the connection between what they wanted (success) and fate (happiness). How Tom knew to count on the future, and Huck knew to count on the past. How their friendship grew.

"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" - As the names suggest, Tom and Huck's adventure is both fun and adventurous. They managed to traverse the Mississippi in an raft and lived for over two months on an raft. Their escape from slavery was also a test of their friendship, as well as of their strength and endurance. What a roller coaster ride it was!

"Tom Sawyer" - Again, we see the theme of Tom and Huck's luck. The initial misstep that they made was turning in a hasty book to a publisher (or an individual publisher). But through the many trials they experienced (and failed at), Tom and Huck were able to persevere. This was luck in the sense that the failure did not cost them anything. They simply learned from their mistake and applied it later.

"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" - Huckleberry Finn is Tom Sawyer's sidekick. They used to be best friends, but when Tom went off on his adventure, Huck went along with him. When Tom returned, Huck followed him and became his second-in-charge (aside from Tom who was the leader). So they shared a good part of their lives together, and then after Tom died, Huck went on to become the leading man in his own little company. Again, luck.

A little reminder, though. If you are going to go into business for yourself, you better be a lucky guy. It may not make you rich, but you will have more opportunities. You can be successful if you put your mind to it. Don't underestimate your ability to attract your fortunes.

One story illustrates how luck works. A friend of mine was traveling in a bus with a group of friends. The bus had stopped at a red light and there were four police officers standing outside. Suddenly, one of the officers, recognized them as thieves, and they were immediately arrested. The rest of the group, including the driver, didn't see what had happened until they reached the station.

Luck is like an ever present sun that never goes out. You can rely on it always being there. If you need food, there it is. If you want to know if a cab is coming or not, it's there. It just never leaves you out of your plans no matter what.

Another example would be life. You can't help what comes your way. If you are born with bad health, then you will probably experience health problems. Lucky are those who have luck in spite of the circumstances. Some people say, "There's nothing luck about me. I just keep doing what I do."

Yes, you can say that again. Luck is not something you can have but you can earn it. So what is it you are doing with luck? Are you working hard so that someday you will be happy?
