What's the one goal you have in life? Is it the health of your family? Is it making enough money? Is it teaching your children how to be successful in life?
When people ask me these questions they're usually looking for answers that will give them meaning and purpose. They're not interested in finding out what your overall goal is. They don't care if you're having a baby so that you can run a marathon. They're not asking if you want to go on vacation with your girlfriend every summer or if you want to buy a new home before you retire. All they're really interested in is whether you're living your life to the fullest.
Life is too short and there's too much to do. If you're only focused on the moment you run the risk of living only in your head. We all have goals we'd like to accomplish but it's not realistic to think that by working hard 8 hours a day, you'll be able to reach all of your goals. You also run the risk of living life not in the manner you're meant to live it. And if you ask this question of someone who is successful, you may find they have been in this situation before.
I've been asked the same question too many times and I've gotten different answers. The one consistent answer is, "I'm here to live life to its fullest." But when you ask successful people, the only question they answer is, "Life isn't about me, it's about others."
Life isn't about you, it's about others. When people ask me what my biggest goal in life is, I tell them, "My biggest goal is having the freedom to be in control of my own life." That statement may sound simplistic but it's not. You're still asking for someone else to fulfill your goals for you. When you ask "What's your biggest goal in life," you're still asking somebody else to help you achieve it. When you're living your life in complete control, you have no goals to reach.
If you're looking to find a single goal that will propel you forward then you've come to the right place. I know this can seem very limiting but it's going to be your guide all the way. The only overall goal you have in your life is reaching complete freedom from all your debts, which is a very attainable goal. Freedom is something that everyone is capable of achieving and having for themselves.
In order to get there, you have to develop a plan that involves you using your time wisely and also using your money wisely. If you can do these two things, then there's no reason why you can't achieve total freedom from all your debts. People have the wrong idea that they have to have a lot of money to be able to be debt free. The truth is that you don't have to have a lot of money to be able to be successful with debt relief. The only thing that you have to have is determination. With determination, you'll be surprised at how quickly you're able to get rid of debt.
The best thing about being debt free is that you have to worry less about money. This is because you have nothing to get rid of and everything to gain. This means that you won't have as much stress and worry because you're not worrying about bills anymore. This also means that you won't be tempted to buy things you don't have to and aren't actually necessary. These are very good things to have especially when you're living your life in freedom.
