An Executioner for the International Space Station.

Everything that has a beginning also has an end and in this case it is news that they are beginning to prepare the end of the international space station, since 1998 5 space agencies the Canadian space agency, the European space agency, the space exploration agency of Japan, NASA and the Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos have operated the international space station, carrying out an enormous number of experiments and tasks, but the station is aging, the systems are becoming increasingly outdated and the structure is accumulating problems.

After 2030, the countdown will begin for the end of the station, which will be taken out of its orbit so that it falls in a controlled manner, surely towards Point Nemo, which is the most isolated place on the planet, located in the South Pacific and therefore also is the site where there is the least risk of destruction of the space station to people or property.

When that happens it will be the largest artificial structure to enter the atmosphere, but to safely carry out the mission a special spacecraft will be needed, an Executioner spacecraft or a Terminator spacecraft, and this is what is in the news now because NASA announced on the 20th of September that would be made to the proposals of the American industry to build that Terminator ship.

They have already studied being able to recycle it, and it is not possible, because the problem is that unfortunately the modules cannot be dismantled easily, it is something that perhaps future space stations will correct. Also, trying to send the space station further away or to the moon is impossible, at the same time. less economically, currently the international space station orbits the earth at about 400 kilometers high, it can be made to rise a few more kilometers, they usually do when it has to avoid space debris, for example, but the station weighs about 430 tons, send it, for example, Geostationary orbit, which is about 36,000 kilometers away, requires an enormous amount of energy and sending it further away, like to the moon, would require connecting several rockets to it in an economically unfeasible operation.

We have to get used to the idea that its end will be after 2030 and the Viking ships will be destroyed in flames and their remains will rest forever at the bottom of the ocean.

Thanks a lot

This seems dangerous but hopefully everything will turn out fine.

Likewise, I'm not going to be near Point Nemo... just in case.

Yay! 🤗
