Clearly, it is true that words are powerful. Personally I follow the national and international news closely on a daily basis. Most of the news is bad, but I personally do not find it oppressive or depressive. The news is nothing more than a summary of what is occurring, good or bad. It's reality and meant to report that which has already occurred. News words are reactive, not proactive and therein lies the distinction. We can not change the reality of the past by words - but words are indeed a powerful vehicle to extract future change.
