When we look at the people in the Liotes community we are quite happy to see that most of the ones that joined the project at the start are still here. We deduct that people are quite happy with Liotes. However, we also realized that we didn't manage to bring that many new users to the project in the meantime. More users would be good for the project. This would mean more LENM sold, more votes on our posts, more interaction and more value for everybody. Therefore, we would like to ask you for your ideas how to reach that goal:
Gives us your ideas, how we could bring more new people to Liotes.
The Liotes Mission
By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.
People who submit an answer will get 4 credits for the Liotes ranking. There might be some bonus credits for things that we really like :-)
We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.

Maybe Liotes writing contests that payout in the winner's choice of Hive or LEN. It would provide publicity across multiple communities, and the option to take your prize in Hive could bring in people not already part of the project. !LUV !hivebits
That's quite an interesting idea. Contests are always interesting and I believe this could attract a lot of people from outside our community. Thanks for the suggestion.
+1 for this too 👍
(2/3) gave you LUV.

I might have missed but maybe a new introduction post about the project might bring new people to the project.
or set up a contest or giveaway, it might also attract new people.
what does it means?
Yes a new introduction post might be necessary I believe. The project has developed so much that we sometimes fail to see all the things in it lol.
The liotes community is powered by the liotes.fund. This fund is filled with proceeds of our mining token LENM. When people buy the token from us, the hive that we get is powered up and delegated out. We only work with the interests that the fund generates and we buy back the LEN tokens that are generated by the staked LENM tokens. If there are more people in the community, this would mean more people who buy the LENM tokens, more money in the fund and more value for all token holders. The people who know how our ecosystem works, also vote on our posts because the rewards flow back into the system and end up in the token values.

An interview by someone in another community?
Building cross community relations could be interesting.

A project FAQ would be nice. I don't know if there already are, but I haven't found them.
I am doing a series of posts to have a simple knowledge of layer 2 tokens. Surely soon I will do one about Liotes, this is what I would like to know:
Tip Token: ?
Passive income:?
Payment frequency: -
Stake:?
Delegate:?
Labels:?
Pools rewarded:?
Current Airdrops:?
Miner token:?
That's a good point. We don't have a FAQ but we have a kind of explanatory video on our website. Our project got quite complex and it's often not that easy to explain everything about it. A FAQ could be a way of doing it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I really like your "Our Picks" articles. I think that's a good initiative.
One thing you could consider is using LEN for large upvotes from achim or liotes.voter. Neoxian, for example, allows you to send NEOXAG to the neoxiancity voting bot and then it will give you a fairly significant upvote on your post(s). Neoxian himself actually runs contests for his 100% upvote with his hundreds of thousands of Hive. I think it's like a $50 upvote. He obviously gets half his vote in curation so it ends up being a win/win for both parties.
You could have people send LEN and then you could burn it. It would give another small use-case for the token. You'd have to do the math on the amounts. Obviously you would want the LEN number to be significantly less than the vote is worth.
You could also get some of these contests going on Discord. That would require some time commitment obviously, but you need to build a more vocal and active community and that's a good place to do it.
I'm sure Neoxian would be happy to engage with you if you want to learn more about what he's doing. He created a "discord" channel on Element. He doesn't like Discord.
Anyway, it seems to me you both have the ability to leverage your voting power to incentivize people to participate. And, as I said, unless you've got it all spoken for, it ends up being a win/win for the voter and the votee.

This is an interesting project with Neoxag but some people might consider it too close to vote buying. This is generally frowned upon on hive and could attract a lot of bad vibes. However, I agree that bringing new use cases for the token would be great.

I always learn a lot from the Cryptomaniac podcast and there is also a lot about the various projects ongoing in HIVE. I think having a clear roadmap and discussing the benefits of token is good but there are just way too many income tokens that some people are just not clear about them.

Yes the Hive ecosystem is so big that it gets very difficult to see and know everything. I believe that the biggest challenge to actually grow a project is to make it known on hive.
Yea that is the biggest issue. The only ones I see people talk a lot about tend to be those led or promoted by the biggest people in HIVE. I don't think anyone here didn't know that there was an airdrop going on for the speak network or Ragnarok

It's a good question. I think about this often in relation to the Brazilian community. People like contests, with curated feedback. But you guys have a more elaborate project, I don't know whether to invest in a dCrop-like game. Or partner with them. Also think about translation. There are many different peoples and languages here. This is a barrier for us. Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Portuguese from Portugal, Casteliano, for example, are similar, but for those who speak them, they are totally different. Sometimes locate communities with potential. I thought of some ideas and wrote here! Thanks!
Contests are definitely a good idea. The language barrier is quite a challenge to circumvent. Translating posts can be a way to touch a new community. Thanks for the suggestion!

Gamification and tokenization are not as easy as they seem. 😁 😎
Personally, I think we should work more on visibility (read - we should invest in visibility).
As I understand the question is about visibility inside the Hive blockchain and not outside it. The way I see it, Hive is currently built on communities and communities are gathering members who have similar interests. And in almost all communities they have contests where they then give prizes. For the prizes, the mods and admins then look for sponsors to donate some tokens to the winner(s). Last time, a week ago, I came across a DeFi token that started to be promoted in this way.
So, for example, a few LEN tokens are sponsored, and in return, the contest hosts post a few words and a link to the token on the Hive-Engine, and a link to an article that might intrigue some (not all, because most don't understand these financial interests in detail). And a link to the website, of course.
It's also a fact that Liotes is not a community in the Hive sense (like PoB or CTP or LeoFinance or LMAC, etc...). I think it should be. Your articles are scattered all over the communities mentioned. You could have everything published in the Liotes community, and then use all the key tags to generate earnings. But probably generate less than if you post directly in these communities ... that's for research ...
In short, to get more visibility you need to go out a bit, look at other communities that have nothing to do with finance...
And here are we, members. I regularly reblog/rehive most of the Liotes posts...
my five cents ...
btw: I can ask some communities if they're interested ...
By posting in different communitites we actually try to draw attention to the project. It's a good idea maybe to host some contests and work together with other communities.
That's actually a great way of promoting the project :-)
Thanks a lot for your suggestions!
Yes, but (from my experience) you don't need to post from that communities. You post from your community and have tags of other communities. All posts with that tag appear in that communities sites...
btw: I'm writing resume as archonapp for ArchonTribe about some communities, rewards, etc, just an example, I don't want to advertise anything, check it here, maybe you'll get some ideas ...

Maybe develop an awesome short video explaining what the project is, and where you want to go with it? Maybe just a one-minute video that can be shared on Twitter etc.?
We tried to do that with the video on our website. But with all the things that have been implemented, we would probably make another one :-)
I think it would help, especially if it were visually "catchy..."

Giveaways on Twitter (retweet & comment hive name), or Reddit (comments with hive name).
Giveaways could be interesting. We are not much on twitter or redit but it could also work with hive :-)

Liotes has a storyline so it would be great if the story could take on a visual dimension in the form of limited edition NFTs of key moments as they unfold... I realize that would involve finding an artist if not doing the artwork yourselves... but hey, it's just a thought.
That's a very nice idea and it was many times during our round table meetings... and you have guessed very well where is the biggest issue at the moment, but we will try to go through them...
Thanks for the great suggestion!

The "Our Pick" curation gets a lot of exposure to author's that are not part of the Liotes community. There is a section at the bottom of the Our Pick post that talks about delegating to the project maybe if other benefits of the project are highlighted it may get a few of these author's to become members of the project.
Thanks! That's a good point! We should definitely change the @Ourpick footer and write a bit more about Liotes perks...

This may be a Duh! moment, but isn't that what CTP is all about...affiliate marketing? It might be worth looking back through the various trainings on that site to find some suggestions.
That's a valid idea that will be doable in the future with some of our sub-projects... Thanks!

Tournament in Splinterlands :)
!PIZZA
I agree with this idea. Tournaments could have LEN entry requirements, or they could require LENM to be staked in order to enter (not actually sure if Splinterlands supports that feature for anything other than SPS). Either way it would provide visibility to the project.
We should think about that one lol
