A Hack: Using A Car Battery To Start A Generator!

in Proof of Brain10 hours ago

Happy Tuesday! Glad to have you visit my blog again.

I always love seeing individuals bring their ingenuity to play. In fact, there's something inspiring about witnessing displays of ingenuity, where individuals bring their creative solutions to life.

During a recent visit to a local computer center, I stumbled upon an ingenious modification that left me fascinated about the power of creativity.

I needed to get some papers photocopied so I went to this computer center near my office. On reaching the center, there was no power so I turned to leave but noticed the owner refueling his generator so I stayed back.

I was actually in a hurry but what made me stay was the sight that met my eyes - a car battery sat next to the generator, connected by wires. My curiosity piqued, and I asked the owner about the setup. Initially, I thought the car battery was down and the generator was being used to charge it, like it's done in some electrical shops, but the owner's explanation revealed a more innovative purpose.

He explained that he had modified the generator to use the car battery as a starting mechanism. By doing so, he could start the generator with a simple key turn, eliminating the need for the traditional rope-pull method.

After the explanation, he immediately demonstrated its effectiveness. With a simple turn of the key, the generator roared to life, leaving me utterly amazed. I was stunned, thinking to myself, "What a creative tweak!"

I was utterly impressed by his resourcefulness and creativity such that I couldn't help but ask if he would be willing to modify generators for others, but he politely declined. He made it clear that this was a personal project, and he didn't offer this service publicly. I was hoping to get a positive reply, but since it was the opposite, I had to respect his decision.

This chance encounter is a testament that innovation can be found in unexpected places. The man's clever hack not only made his life easier but also showcased his ingenuity.

If you've ever been disappointed by this type of rope-pull generator, you'll understand what a soft life this man is living right now. These generators have a way of frustrating one's life at very important times. You'll draw and draw the rope as if your life depends on it, yet they'll stubbornly refuse to start. One last attempt to draw it, and "snap"- the rope will cut, leaving you even more frustrated and cursing under your breath.

I think the generator modification is just the way out of the situation, or better still go for the model that comes with key starter.

Case closed 😅.

Thank you for reading.
