English for me, then Spanish.

I took French in high school a long time ago. I still recognize many words, but speaking it is no longer practical for me for lack of use.

From knowing Spanish, I recognize some words in Portuguese and Italian. No speaking of either.

I've been meaning to teach myself Japanese, and I know a few isolatd words; I'm still illiterate in the language.

@magnacarta and i am planning to learn the spanish language, how i wish it is possible to learn from you

If you want someone to teach you Spanish, you should learn from someone who is a native speaker of Spanish or from someonee who can speak it very well. Although I know Spanish, I do not know it well enough to be helpful as a teacher.

I appreciate your interest, but I'm the wrong peson to teach anyone Spanish.

What some people do not understand is that because someone understands a language do not mean they will automatically teach other person the language...

It's like with driving. You may be a good or even great driver, but that doesn't mean you can teach someone how to drive.

Some people are very good at driving but they do not know how to pass the driving lessons to others..you are right
