It's really exciting to share another amazing photographs. The act of ‘photographing is a process which requires absolute attention and our passion for it must be inextinguishable. We keep on learning and acquiring new skills on how to edit or manipulate image when we put our mind and attention to it. When we explore to know better, we sure to acquire more knowledge and skills in photo-editing whether exploration on portrait or landscape pictures.
The major problem in ‘Photo-editing’ is the colour-grading part. Colour-grading of Image poses a lot of challenges for editors a lot, whereby making their efforts to come to nought, that's why we ought to be absolutely careful when colour-grading, so that a model having a light-skin won't have a darkskin, unless it's for a reason or the other for achieving of a kind of tone by the editor. For this reason, we ought to keep on practising everyday for the betterment of ourselves.
As I have said earlier here, editing pictures is a process, and it has different phases and stages. Moreover, It takes a lot of hard work and passion to enter into Photography.
Here is one of my friends I used as a Model. As you can see below, we have the same picture passing through different channels of colours.
I shot this image on Canon EOS 60D, the first thing I noticed was the over saturation of the image on Photoshop, especially on the subject and the image as a whole. It has this yellowish colour on the subject which is somehow irritating.
See below
Looking at the screen of the Camera (Canon EOS 60D), there were no over saturations, but it was noticeable on my PC. I had to play around the Camera Raw Filter which has diverse of colour tools and settings. I used this colour channels to get rid of the over saturations. I must say, I spent a good quality of time, editing the image in order to get the best out of it; in terms of sharpness, colour-grading and colour-balancing. Starting from the facial look, I removed the blemishes and used my frequency separation for actualisation of skin textures, and then cropped the image before furthering my editing. I added contrast and a gradient map palette which marches her skin-tones, and changed the blend mode to softlight, leaving the opacity and 25 percent.
Pertaining to the colour effects on the subject, if you take a close look at the images, you would notice that the ‘skin textures’ and ‘skin-colour-looks' are popping out well — moderately.
