WHAT IS HAPPINESS?
The word “H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S” is subjective, and there is no one way in which this term can be defined. Everyone is a free-thinking individual — which means we have different connotations about this term — that is to say, everyone has a different outlook on life that is different from the other. For different people, it implies a state of peace of mind, for others, it might mean a different thing which involves around Positivity. Whatever may be the definition of Happiness, there is no denying fact that Happiness is essentially part of our lives and daily living. Without it, there would be no point in living or spending one's life on this earth.
In my own intuitive definition, HAPPINESS is an emotional state characterized by feelings of satisfaction, contentment, joy and fulfillment which seems to be a sense of gratification of the heart. Happiness is often involves around positivity of emotions and life satisfaction. Happiness is that great or wonderful feeling that takes control over you, and this is when you know life is beautiful, sweet, lovely, wonderful (if there are other simple words to qualify that). In order words, HAPPINESS is simply a sense of joy, well-being or contentment. As we all know fully well that, every **Positivities in life always have its negativities or contradictions. **The opposite of this term — HAPPINESS is “S-A-D-N-E-S-S.” The same word Happiness has different synonyms which are: cheeriness, gaiety, blessedness, bliss, cheerfulness and so on.
We cannot dispute the fact that, it is not always all the time that “Money can procure happiness.” Some people tend to consider wealth as the yardstick for their sense of joys in life. To them — they believe that — 'Happiness in life comes from material possessions, and thus, this make them happy, but they forget that wellbeing plus freedom from sickness are what matter the most in daily life. What I'm implying is that, if one seems to possess wealth and yet lacks wellness of the body, (freedom from sickness), it means one is still somehow in danger, hence happiness is at stake.
HOW TO STAY HAPPY
Happiness is a free gift, so we ought to retain that happiness in us no matter the condition, if one is happy, life will be great — and if one's happiness is taken away, life will definitely be miserable, difficult and unbearable. Without doubt, happiness is essential for daily living. It is the most significant aspect of one’s life; and the truth is no one ever complained about feeling too much happiness, and everyone longs for an unending happiness on earth without worrying about tomorrow or what may come after tomorrow. In fact, when one is so happy and healthy, one may wish to stay young and live forever, if possible. There is no hard way or fast means of staying happy. The truth is, one cannot stay happy forever, and one cannot remain satisfied all the time. We all definitely have our episodes of depressing moments whereby life becomes miserable and difficult. Life is full of ups and downs. And life generally isn't easy virtually for everyone. We just have to move on and keep smiling no matter what. We can blend to the mode of life by removing every negativity thought from one's mind, so it won't degenerate into a worse situation. So far you're alive — breathing and kicking, there would be a time or moment when you would be vulnerable to these hassles and hurdles of life which may be utterly heart-rending. It is okay to be challenged and distressed; you just have to strive hard and look for alternatives, by finding an escaping scheme(s) to break free from the chain. In some cases, the power to break free lies in our hands, and sometimes, we can create our own happiness in the midst of hassles of life; and we should always cling to those moments of joy and embrace them greatly so as to have a happy life.
