Iron weedThese are all the flowers I have captured about a week ago as a sequel to the Snapshots of insects I posted a two weeks ago here on Hive. I was shocked to see the fields at the pathway going to the National Park had been mowed and cleaned . All the wild grasses and wild plants were gone. Most probably, the insects too and all those bugs and snails that I had been seeing every time I went to the Lobau. The Lobau is a plain area of the Donau-Auen National Park and located in the northern part of the Danube and in the border of Großenzersdorf, a town in Lower Austria.
Some of the wild plants I saw grew so rapidly after the mowing since it rained all the time the past couple of weeks. The title photo is called Iron Weed as what I have gathered from a friend. It has a deep purple color and blooms when the season is about to change. I love these flowers because they have vivid colors. It attracts so many bees and other insects.
Bud of a Cow Parsley
They are expanding the pathway´s fields and are developing it into a recreational area for the locals. We are happy to have relocated here because we are just about 1.5 Km from the park by foot. The bees and probably flying insects were able to escape the mowing. Last week when I took these images , I was bringing some two dozens Grubs I found in my potted Dahlias. I didn´t get the nerve to kill them for they might become June bugs or other useful insects that could help the ecology. So I simply placed them on the grounds where the yarrows were growing.
White Yarrow
We can see some wonders of nature and it amazes me every time I go out to the fields and see them. It is no wonder that people are seeking to be closed to nature for their sanity. The green color of the fields gives one a calm mind particularly combined with the blue skies, so serene , simply so peaceful.
A wild orchid variety. I am not so sure of this one, but a lady said it is a wild orchid and is under protection in the Lobau area.

Wildflower ito lahat ate, ang gaganda naman ng mga bulaklak at ang lugar po. Matagal ko nang pinangarap na makapunta ako sa ganyang klase na lugar. Puro mga imahe lang sa libro ang nakikita ko. 😊 . Super ganda talaga ate .. kudos! 👏👏
