Well, I think whales play an important role in influencing community/blockchain policies and token distribution, which are an integral aspect of blockchain. Having good whales on your community/blockchain will go a long way in sustaining the community/blockchain.
Being in a position of power does have its merits and demerits. In the case of the whales, I think the former outweighs the latter.
Do I want to be a whale?
In all honestly, I have not thought about it because it is not within my grasp but if I do have the opportunity to become one I don't mind.
Agreed. It's a tightrope as far as I'm concerned. Nobody is perfect and we all have our bad days, but having your activities under a microscope definitely reveals more than the average user. Having an open mind for all is usually the best course of action. Alienating people is never the goal.
