Good afternoon friends, may God bless you greatly, today I share with you some verses from the sacred scriptures that call Christians to wake up from any spiritual lethargy, live with wisdom and diligence, make good use of time and understand the will of God in the midst of a challenging world.
Therefore he says: Awake, you who sleep, And arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light. Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as fools but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:14-17
Amen.
Ephesians 5:14: "Therefore he says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light."
- Wake up, you who sleep: This phrase refers to a call to spiritual consciousness. Paul urges believers to awaken from any spiritual slumber they may be in. It is a metaphor for those who live without being aware of their need for God and a godly life.
- Rise from the dead: Here, "the dead" refers to those who are spiritually dead, that is, who live in sin and far from the life that God offers. Rising from the dead implies an act of repentance and a change of life towards justice.
- Christ will enlighten you: Christ is the light of the world and the one who brings illumination and understanding to our lives. Upon awakening and rising, believers will receive the light of Christ, which guides and transforms.
Ephesians 5:15: "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as fools but as wise,"
- Watch carefully how you walk: Paul advises believers to carefully examine their conduct. Living diligently means being intentional and aware of our actions and decisions.
- Not as fools but as wise: Believers are urged not to be foolish (fools) in their behavior, but to act wisely. Wisdom in this context comes from fearing God and following his principles.
Ephesians 5:16: "Make good use of the time, because the days are evil."
- Making good use of time: Paul encourages believers to make the best use of their time. This concept can be understood as living each moment with purpose and for the glory of God, not wasting it on vain or sinful things.
- For the days are evil: Paul recognizes the reality that we live in a fallen world full of evil. Therefore, it is even more crucial to live wisely and redeem time amidst these adverse circumstances.
Ephesians 5:17: "Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."
- Do not be foolish: Paul reiterates the warning not to live without understanding or purpose.
- But understanding what the will of the Lord is: Believers must strive to know and understand God's will for their lives. This involves studying the scriptures, praying, and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit to live according to divine purposes.
Amen. Let us not only be readers but rather doers of the word of God.
Buenas tardes amigos, que Dios les bendiga grandemente, hoy les comparto unos versículos de las sagradas escrituras que llaman a los cristianos a despertar de cualquier letargo espiritual, vivir con sabiduría y diligencia, aprovechar bien el tiempo y comprender la voluntad de Dios en medio de un mundo desafiante.
Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, Y levántate de los muertos, Y te alumbrará Cristo. Mirad, pues, con diligencia cómo andéis, no como necios sino como sabios, aprovechando bien el tiempo, porque los días son malos. Por tanto, no seáis insensatos, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor.

Efesios 5:14: "Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, Y levántate de los muertos, Y te alumbrará Cristo."
- Despiértate, tú que duermes: Esta frase se refiere a un llamado a la conciencia espiritual. Pablo insta a los creyentes a despertar de cualquier letargo espiritual en el que puedan estar. Es una metáfora para aquellos que viven sin estar conscientes de su necesidad de Dios y de una vida piadosa.
- Levántate de los muertos: Aquí, "los muertos" se refiere a aquellos que están espiritualmente muertos, es decir, que viven en el pecado y alejados de la vida que Dios ofrece. Levantarse de los muertos implica un acto de arrepentimiento y un cambio de vida hacia la justicia.
- Te alumbrará Cristo: Cristo es la luz del mundo y el que trae iluminación y entendimiento a nuestras vidas. Al despertar y levantarse, los creyentes recibirán la luz de Cristo, que guía y transforma.
Efesios 5:15: "Mirad, pues, con diligencia cómo andéis, no como necios sino como sabios,"
- Mirad con diligencia cómo andéis: Pablo aconseja a los creyentes a examinar cuidadosamente su conducta. Vivir con diligencia significa ser intencional y consciente de nuestras acciones y decisiones.
- No como necios sino como sabios: Se insta a los creyentes a no ser insensatos (necios) en su comportamiento, sino a actuar con sabiduría. La sabiduría en este contexto proviene del temor de Dios y de seguir sus principios.
Efesios 5:16: "Aprovechando bien el tiempo, porque los días son malos."
- Aprovechando bien el tiempo: Pablo anima a los creyentes a hacer el mejor uso de su tiempo. Este concepto puede entenderse como vivir cada momento con propósito y para la gloria de Dios, no desperdiciándolo en cosas vanas o pecaminosas.
- Porque los días son malos: Pablo reconoce la realidad de que vivimos en un mundo caído y lleno de maldad. Por tanto, es aún más crucial vivir sabiamente y redimir el tiempo en medio de estas circunstancias adversas.
Efesios 5:17: "Por tanto, no seáis insensatos, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor."
- No seáis insensatos: Pablo reitera la advertencia de no vivir sin entendimiento ni propósito.
- Sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor: Los creyentes deben esforzarse por conocer y comprender la voluntad de Dios para sus vidas. Esto implica estudiar las Escrituras, orar y buscar la guía del Espíritu Santo para vivir de acuerdo con los propósitos divinos.
