Hi everyone,
Over 5 months ago I've come across a video made by Johnny Harris where he shared his experience on no shampooing for 5 years. At the same time he claimed that his hair has never looked better.
At the time, I was already avoiding treating the surface of my body with number of chemicals, as they may be easily absorbed by the skin and potentially harmful. For years I've been using a toothpaste without fluoride and stopped using deodorants altogether, in favor of baking soda mixed with hydrogen peroxide.
For some time I've been looking for an alternative hair treatment, so I've decided to give it a try and I stopped using shampoo.
Five months forward, and guess what? My hair is doing just fine! And I have a pretty long hair.
For the first week or two the grease (or protective oils) we're building up on my hair, but after that it kind of balanced off.
I'm not saying that not using shampoo is right for everyone, but perhaps it's worth giving it a try.
Let me know what you think :)
