PROBLEM:
Creating NFTs can be costly for struggling artists. Even though the cost of minting an NFT on proofofbrain.io is only 6 POB the whitelist fee is 1000 POB. For some this may be a barrier to producing NFTs.
SOLUTION:
A community fund to support struggling artists @pobscholarship.
This fund was established by @mineopoly with the sole purpose of helping artists pay the 1000 POB whitelist fee on proof of brain NFTs. The initial proposal for this project was on December 29th, 2021.
GOAL:
The goal of @pobscholarship is to support the full whitelist fee at proof of brain NFTs to at least one artist each year. Any time that @pobscholarship's liquid POB reaches 1000 POB a new candidate will be sought out to receive a scholarship.
APPLY:
This scholarship is for exceptional artists who are active in the POB or VYB communities. They are artists who have been creating art that has benefited the community. The art can be in the form of music, audio, video or other visual art that can be minted in an NFT form. Preference will be given to artists who can create in demand collectible art like pob punks, card games, books, puzzles, series, etc...
How to apply
Simply write a scholarship application post including recent works as well as plans for future works. Include the tag #pobscholarship in the post. Link the post to the comments in a recent @pobscholarship post so I can see it.
If there are funds and you are an exceptional artist contributing to the community then you have a high chance of getting a scholarship. If there is any doubt about who should get the scholarship then I will put it to a community vote.
How to support @pobscholarship :
Send liquid POB to @pobscholarship. 100% of this liquid POB will be gauranteed to go directly toward sponsoring an applicant's scholarship for whitelisting. If there is too much in this fund and not enough artists applying then I will have to recruit artists or return your gift.
Support posts from @pobscholarship for visibility and to earn rewards for scholarship. Rewards from posts can be converted to POB to help pay the whitelisting fee for another artist.
Set @pobscholarship as a benefactor for a post. The rewards can be converted to POB when the 1000 POB level is close.
Be creative. The basic rule is that @pobscholarship is here to help artists pay the whitelisting fee for POB NFTs.

I sincerely request some of our larger POB holders to consider this. Please excuse me for mentioning your names, but I really want to put this new NFT thing to good use @onealfa.pob @proofofbrainio @vyb.pob @richardcrill @leprechaun @trostparadox @scholaris.pob @edicted @vempromundo.pob @interpretation @jeffjagoe... We don't need a lot to start. Consider the case of @jaxsonmurph who has created an entire POB punk series on WAX. Imagine what he can do on POB NFT^^
this is a great initiative that will also be a great advantage to the community, i will love to see the big names mentioned here to support this project as it will help us grow alot
I'm beginning to see that in community every single member's action does count and is influential... I did mention large stake holders in this post but it is really up to each person in the community to support a project like this or not.

As far as I know there is requirement of 1000 POB stake too for Getting Whitelisted??
Ah... Maybe you're right. I see your point. That is a pretty high hurdle for some. I guess if necessary @pobscholarship could help with that.... but honestly an active member of the community should have 1,000 POB staked.
Yeah it is 1000 staked which I have and a 1000 fee for whitelisting, but you are right an active member should already have the staked funds
Everyone that was whitelisted had to pay of fee of 1000 POB.
It wasn't just proof of stake but there was a 1,000 POB fee collected.
