Major Thompson, a military man in local community, he is simply refered to as "Mr Danger" or "Mr no nonsense". He seems to be independent due to his 'no nonsense' attitude to others, ironically, there's is no complete isolated life in any ecosystem, even preys have no option but to relate and fight for survival from predators. Behind his house is a community school field where children and adults play different kinds of games. Tom, Tessy and Jack are football lovers and players in the same community. Tom called Tessy,
"Tessy, let's go to Jack's house it's time to play football"
"Really? Do you think Jack will be at home by now?"
"Yes I think so"
"Okay, let's go"
They both went to school field to play with other friends. While playing, Jack tackled the opponent behind and this resulted into fighting as the injured person took it to be intentionally. Both Tessy and Tom stood behind Jack until the issue was resolved. Tom could hear Yusouf the injured person referring to Jack as being wicked boy, then Tom replied:
"No my friend is not wicked, it was a mistake"
"Tom, it seems you don't know your friend very well as I do" replied Yusouf.
"Hey guys it's okay, common let's continue" said Tessy.
This particular day seemed to be bad one as something happened again while playing. Tom shot the ball so high above the fence of Major Thompson and unfortunately for him, the ball broke the window glass. Thompson was scared thinking it was a burglar and quickly came out with a gun shouting;
"Who is this, identify yourself or you have yourself to be blamed." The mind game.
One of his children said "hey Dad, it's ball not human, see it there"
Major Thompson looking furiously at the ball was confused, pick the ball and went to the backyard (the football field), on getting there he saw the children terrified with fear and shouted
"Who played this ball into my compound?"
"Total silence........"
"I am talking to you guys, would you tell me before I go crazy now!"
Tom who was shaking answered,
"Ee..mm, ee..mm I played the ball but it wasn't intentional sir, I am very sorry"
"Who else is playing with you here?"
Everyone shaking their head saying no....
"Okay, since no agrees to have played with you, then, follow me"
Tessy cried out loud, " Major Thompson, please don't take my friend away please"
"Who are you and how do you know my name, even my rank? You are a suspect too"
"No sir, I am Tessy Rogers, Tom is my friend and we played together, please leave him"
"Which Roger? Do you mean General Roger in the next street?"
"Yes sir"
"Oh that's my good friend, okay you can go with your friend but don't do that next time"
"Thank you sir" both replied.
Smiles.....on their faces.
"Where is Jack?" Said Tom
"All of them took to their heel since, when Major was going with you"
"Okay thanks for being there for me Tessy"
Tessy was laughing at the way Tom was shaking but this did not go down well with him.
"Why are you laughing Tessy?"
"Nothing much, I just want to tell you that we are all friends until something happens whether for good or bad."
"Yes you are right, nevertheless, we will ask Jack why he ran away because I expected him to do just as you did, thank you so much"
