Tea in India is more than just a drink, it is a part of everyday life and hospitality. Milk tea, commonly referred to as "chai" in India, is incredibly popular because it's deeply ingrained in the culture. The British introduced tea cultivation in India, and over time, Indians adapted it by adding milk and spices, creating the "masala chai" we know today. Chai is readily available and relatively inexpensive, making it accessible to people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. The addition of milk and spices like ginger and cardamom creates a rich, comforting flavor that many Indians enjoy. Recently, I learned that, Milk tea is considered not good for health due to its high sugar content, added fats from milk, and caffeine
I have seen people in India addicted to Tea, just like they do with ciggreates or alcohal. There are few examples at my own home. This made me wondering, what will happen if we skip Milk tea for a month. After consulting a general physician that visited in our school, I learned that there are multiple benefits.
Avoiding milk tea can help us reduce our caffeine intake, which can improve our sleep and reduce anxiety. It can also help us lose weight and improve
our heart health. Here are following benefits of avoiding milk tea that i learned today ;
1️⃣ Milk tea contains high-fat ingredients that can contribute to weight gain. Drinking tea without milk and sugar can help ud feel less hungry.
2️⃣ Caffeine in milk tea can disrupt our sleep cycle. Reducing our caffeine intake can help us sleep better.
3️⃣ Caffeine in milk tea can increase anxiety, stress, and restlessness. Reducing our caffeine intake can help reduce anxiety.
4️⃣ Avoiding milk tea can help improve our heart health.
Milk tea can also provide health benefits depending on the type and amount consumed. It is important to consider individual needs and consult a healthcare professional before significantly altering its intake.
Learning is Passion!!

Seems like Milk Tea should be more of a dessert type drink. Chai tea is tasty but of course too much of anything is bad. I am glad you consulted a health professional and got some solid facts too!
