Thank you for sharing your point of view. We are happy to hear you are safe.
I don´t have much experience with earthquakes (only twice ones of about force 4 when I lived in the Bay Area many years ago and it was a very strange feeling but not dangerous for buildings) but I don´t think I would have had the guts to stay indoors, probably I don´t trust or know enough about the construction process, so my instinct would be to get outside also. Thank you for sharing! best wishes !

Thank you very much for your concern. I had been through several earthquakes and I had done a lot of readings on the issue in past. So, I wouldn’t get panic easily. But I would assess the risk and danger of the situation and location. The source the earthquake is very vital to my risk analysis on the immediate surroundings. If I were in low rise building, I would get outside too as these buildings’ standard could be quite low at cheaper budget. But I knew this shopping mall was very solid and safe up to about 8-9 levels of earthquakes.
People were panic and flocked to the narrow escalators and doorways! That’s very dangerous to me.
It’s good to remain calm during emergency situation as it would give me time to think of better escape routes. I try to avoid crowds with too much fear! They could do crazy things! 🙀😂
Yes, I can see you have experience from how you dealt with the situation. Thank you for sharing and I hope you are well! Best wishes!
