Artificial Intelligence, Something to Worry About? See ChatGPT in Action

I'm messing about with Chat GPT, the artificial intelligence robot from OpenAi and I asked it what to do in Honolulu. My sister is there right now on her way to Australia, my mom is at my house and I thought it would be fun to show her what Ai is all about these days...So I asked ChatGPT What do people do in Honolulu.

Here's what it answered me:

Honolulu is the capital and largest city of the state of Hawaii, and it is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and rich history. There are many things to do in Honolulu, including:

  1. Visit Waikiki Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world, and participate in water activities like surfing, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding.

  2. Explore the Bishop Museum, which is dedicated to preserving and sharing the natural and cultural history of Hawaii.

  3. the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, a National Historic Landmark that commemorates the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II.

  4. Take a hike to the top of Diamond Head, a volcanic tuff cone that offers panoramic views of the city and the Pacific Ocean.

  5. Check out the Honolulu Museum of Art, which features a diverse collection of art from around the world, including works by Monet, Van Gogh, and Gauguin.

  6. Learn about the history and culture of Hawaii at the Polynesian Cultural Center, which features interactive exhibits and demonstrations by native Hawaiian performers.

  7. Shop and dine at the Ala Moana Center, one of the largest shopping centers in the world, and try some local Hawaiian cuisine like poke, plate lunch, and shave ice.

It's incredible how much this thing knows... I asked about weather it knows my wife but it didn't! It didn't know who she was with her maiden name either. It's good news because it means it doesn't yet search the internet on its own!!!

I also asked how to change the oil on a car. You want to know how it's done, or what you need to do it? There it is, the robot can let you know how to do it.

To change your oil, you will need the following supplies:

Oil filter wrench
New oil filter
New oil (check your owner's manual for the correct type and amount)
Funnel
Oil pan or large container to catch the old oil
Ratchet and socket set (or appropriate size wrench)
Shop towels or rags
Here is a general guide for changing your oil:

  1. Locate the oil filter and oil pan underneath your vehicle. You may need to use a jack and stands or ramps to raise the vehicle and provide enough room to work.

  2. Place the oil pan underneath the oil filter to catch the old oil as it drains out. Use the oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter and let the old oil drain out into the pan.

  3. Once the old oil has drained out, remove the oil filter and dispose of it according to local regulations.

  4. Clean the area around the oil filter mount to ensure it is free of debris.

  5. Coat the gasket on the new oil filter with a thin layer of new oil. This will help seal the filter and prevent it from leaking.

  6. Install the new oil filter by hand until it is hand-tight, then use the oil filter wrench to give it a final tightening. Be careful not to overtighten the filter, as this can cause it to leak.

  7. Locate the oil drain plug on the oil pan and use the ratchet and socket (or wrench) to loosen and remove it. Allow the remaining old oil to drain out into the pan.

  8. Clean the drain plug and install the new oil. Use the funnel to add the new oil to the engine through the oil filler neck. Make sure to check the owner's manual for the correct type and amount of oil to use.

  9. Replace the oil filler cap and start the engine to circulate the new oil. Let the engine run for a few minutes, then turn it off and check the oil level using the dipstick. Add more oil as needed to reach the full mark.

  10. Dispose of the old oil properly according to local regulations.

It is important to follow the recommended maintenance schedule for changing your oil as specified in your owner's manual. This will help ensure that your engine is properly lubricated and running smoothly.

Yeah... it's pretty dead on point!!! Kind of scary, I think, but at the same time there's something beautiful about the world ahead of this new technology. It's been something we've all talked about for a long time, there were movies and other stories telling about the benefits and consequences this could bring the world... It is concerning, and people have warned the world of its dangers.

Only time will tell!!! For now all we can do is hope it'll be good and find how to benefit from it. There will be mountains of wealth to be made utilizing this tool... we just need to find out how. Be innovative!!!

Another thing to watch out for, or ask ourselves is how will we recognize an article written by artificial intelligence from a real person? Also, does it matter, if it was written by a machine, when we're looking to learn something (as long as it is accurate, which it will get more and more accurate as the world is using these tools!)?

I have been reading a lot about the possibilities of ChatGPT on Twitter and it is really scary as you said.

I have also tried asking it about Hive and it gave me good responses.
We all need to adapt to this bot or we will be left behind hehe.

Yeah I think you're right. We will be left behind. Interesting to ask it about Hive, I'll have a look too.
