Hello πππ I hope this finds you in good shape. For me, the rainy season in Nigeria is the best weather season for me because the heat that is typically felt during the day has been greatly diminished by the frequent rainfall.
I graduated from a higher institution in Nigeria about a year and a half ago, and I was required to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, where I will be posted to any state of the country in either the private or public sector. Graduates who were at least thirty on the day of their graduation were exempt from this program. After Nigeria's civil war, this program's main goal is to support national unity.)
JOURNEY TO MY STATE OF DEPLOYMENT
I always wanted to serve in the south-west region of Nigeria, which is closer to where I resided, so I made the decision to figure out how to get there. After researching those who had already been posted to the state they desired, I learned that they had paid someone who has connections to those in charge of posting corps members. I made the payment as usual and was given 100% assurance . I made the decision to go to Ibadan because I want to stay with my sister there; I haven't seen her since she got married. Because of the promise I got and the payment I made to the guy who will be assisting with my posting, I was convinced I would be posted to Ibadan. Unfortunately, I received a letter informing me that I had been posted to Abia state, which is in the southeast of Nigeria and approximately nine hours away (though occasionally much more). Given that I knew no one there and the current unrest in the nation, this really made me nervous. After much deliberation, I decided to travel by air to Abia State.
However, when I went to purchase my ticket, I learned that Abia State did not have an airport, which was a further setback. I then decided to check a nearby state to see if there was an airport there. Fortunately, there was an airport in the nearby state(Imo state), which is only a few hours from Abia State. I arrived in Imo state safely , traveled to Abia state for my 21-days orientation program, and then relocated to Ibadan for my NYSC service.
PRESENT SITUATION
My blog has suffered as a result of my posting to a school in a remote part of Ibadan with poor network connectivity and power infrastructure. I am hoping to find a permanent solution to this. Despite the challenges, I couldn't be happier to be staying with my lover sister. I appreciate your time and will see you in my upcoming blog. Thanks
