Hello everyone, welcome to 32nd episode of POB talk.
Cameras have become an integral part of our lives and everyone of us are always carrying them in our smartphones. Everyone is a photographer.
I want to ask how often do you take pictures with your smartphone camera? What are the things that make you pull out your smartphone and want to click? And what kind of photos do you usually click?
Is it selfies? Is it the orange sky? Or is it the grasshopper hopping in your backyard? I would like to know.
Every day I take pictures with the cell phone camera. Usually it's city pictures showing how lines and geometric shapes can frame an imae. Sometimes the pictures have an ironic quality to them. Often the pictures would make people I know laugh based on inside jokes we have with each other.
On occasion I photograph signs, posters, and cards to have them for future reference; in this case, I'm using the phone's camera to take notes.
Many people using cell phone cameras take selfies. I'm not one of them. I've taken a few, but I'm not into taking selfies.
It was good to know your motivations behind clicking day to day pictures. And you have mentioned some interesting ways you use your smartphone camera, to capture something that makes sense to people you know and the private puns you had with them and the geometric patterns in city structures.
I don’t use my camera that often, mostly at some occasion or when i am travelling. But you have provided me with some interesting use cases. Also I am not a big fan of selfies either 🙃.
I will try imaging some city landscapes for sure and see what it brings out.
Thanks for sharing.
I mostly take pictures of the cocktails I make. I'm an amateur bartender and I like to register my creations. I even post some of them here on the blockchain, but I think that's about it :P
Not really a picture guy...
That’s good, to keep a protfolio of your creations to look back at them. I am not a pictures guy either. But I want to click more. The reason I asked it here, to get some inspiration and to know more about what people are clicking 🙂.
Thanks for sharing
I rarely take pictures, most times I am to invested in the moment to remember to capture it for later. The only thing that makes me takeout my smartphone camera is when I am capturing the process of a crochet project I am working on. on rare occasions I take out my camera for a selfie
Something similar happens with me, lol. I forget. But then I see everyone around pulling out their cameras, and I am like - hell yeah, i should also click and make it a memory. I also do take selfies once in a while.
Thanks for sharing
Best Wishes
I used to take selfies with my husband and friends all the time. Every time i used to get dressed, i was like picture, picture. But since Raag has come to our life, it's all about capturing his moments. My phone is full of his pictures and honestly, I don't remember the last time I took a selfie.
Becoming a parent in itself a wonderful experience and I can feel that. Though I am not yet married, but i have a baby niece and i end up taking countless pictures of her at times. Babies are lovely and photogenic indeed. And you end up forgetting everything when you are with them.
Thanks fir sharing.
Well first I like taking pictures of myself whenever I dress nice for occasion 😉, you know I gat to feel myself being handsome a bit.
Well apart from picture of myself I love taking pictures of the sky, sunset 🌇 and clusters of tree.
Taking this pictures makes me happy.
It's been so long that I've not dressed, thanks to Covid. Hence no pictures of myself. I feel sad :(
So sorry for that, covid-19 traits have reduced, maybe you can try and step out sometimes.
That’s nice, All of us wants to snap ourselves when we dress up and look good. 🙂
I also picture sky sometimes, but i could never really time sunsets, I always forget and miss to snap them when I am out on the mountains. 😅
Thanks for sharing 🙏
You're welcome
