This question is a popular one, lots of gamers are simply addicted playing video games via any console, it can be in PS3, PS4, PS5, Switch, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One etc, consoles. It simply depends on the gamers choice, when it gets to gaming. I don't spend all my day playing it, I am addicted to some extent, I plan my schedule well to meet up with my daily activities offline and online.

I've been a gamer since I was five, played my first game during the year 2006, and FIFA 06 was the first soccer video game I played back then, which was released late in the year 2005. Since then my addiction grew year after year especially on FIFA game series. I can simply say I spend 3-4 hours every day on average satisfying my urge around video games which isn't about soccer alone but options like RPGs, FPS action games, horror, and adventure games and so on.
My addiction can't be compared anywhere near those gamers that have saturated online gaming, they play 24/7 non stop with minimal time of rest. Those streaming at twitch-follows as E-sports gamers spend lots of time playing competitive gaming which they are earning a living with. I am simply trying to explore the online gaming world, and I'm seeing streaming as an option to go into, due to financial dividends that comes through it. Lots of gamers are hired simply to represent a team in a selected gaming event, it can be action, horror, soccer, racing, and adventures kind of game etc. They are simply hired by E-sports team CEOs simply to represent the team well and return glory to the team via E-sports tournaments.
