This is a nice contest but kind of a personal question:
I will give you a general answer. I pay taxes. I pay health insurance. I pay medical expenses and therapy for my child. I pay rent. I pay food expenses. I pay travel expenses. At the end of the month I have a little saved to give to others in need. Another little is saved for emergency.
Any income from this blog is reinvested into POB, Hive, Bitcoin or Ether, SPS, etc...
While I do understand this is all very personal, my intention was to ask the ratio in which people spend, invest and save.
As... that's understandable. But here "Save" and "Invest" get cloudy. Some of my savings are investments but I can see there is a kind of safe savings.
This is a really interesting question. There's this feeling we get when our income arrives. We want to spend, spoil ourselves, purchase our needs and even our wants that are not really necessary but we have to be wise in our dealings.
First, you have a mental budget depending on the amount of your income. You sketch out you pressing needs placing them according to priority.
Take out a portion and invest. Saving is a good thing to do but it's quite useless when you have openings to invest your money.
You could save, quite alright, but why keep your money where it doesn't yell more money. Why not invest and get more money?
I'd actually advice people to spend wisely and invest the rest of the money if they can but if they are no openings for investment, they could always save their money.
Speaking from experience, saved money is always very tempting. You have it at the back of your mind that you have money and you could always use it but once invested, it takes some time to be able to gain access to it.

Haha, so true. I also believe saving is an illusion and investments are a wise way of utilising your money.
Yes dear.... Thats the drill.
Firstly, income has to do with the money one received for work on daily basis or at a specified time.
When I receive my income all I need do is to share it accordingly to avoid running out of cash or going broke, you know, one has to prepare for the worse (Life is not always what it seems), I mean I have bills to pay and my family (parents) to take care of which constantly reminds me of the fact that I am now an adult 😆.
Ok back to the topic - so I spilt my income as follows:
50% for my daily needs, my family needs and bills (rent, water, sanitation, electricity, television and what have you).
30% for emergencies, I'm not praying for one but things can happen so I keep this percentage aside Incase of such cases (you can call it savings though but not until there is need for it)
20% for investment - I actually save this little for Investment.
And that's it, though I'm still working on improving it to save more for investment but this is what I gat for now and I would advice others to spend wisely, save and invest more.
Thanks!

Wow, many thanks to @sugandhaseth for the reward, though am yet to get the reward, am excited cos it's my first time to the contest. I really appreciate.
I know I delayed it this time, but please check your wallet now.
And apologies for the delay, was keeping extremely busy.
How do i use my income to spend, save and invest?... You know the funny part? everyone spends but not everyone save and invest... Smiles 😄, that sounds funny right? But unfortunately that's true.
Okay, am gonna bring you up to speed on how I use my income to spend, save and invest. Once I receive my income (monthly income) I divide it into three [60/10/30], although I don't like maths but when it comes to money am always a mathematician. The 60% is for my spending. yes spending, were you expecting me to say 50% ? When you know how inflation is hitting hard recently? Ofcourse I need to provide my primary needs ( food, shelter, clothes) and other vital miscellaneous like paying of electricity bill, water bill, environmental bill, subscription bill, let me stop here the bills are getting much already😄. Then I save 10% and invest 30%. You wonder why I save 10% and invest 30% ?, Because I don't dream to be poor, how? Okay let me burst your bubbles,.. since I SPEND 60% of my income taking care of my needs and wants (obviously), I choose to save 10% which is also likely to be SPENT (just that it may be on (emergencies or otherwise), now the only way I have to build my future is to INVEST more than I save👌. [NOTE: Any money spent can never return, but any money invested wisely MUST return in many folds]. This is how I use my income to spend, save and invest.
That's true. May be my question was an eye opener for such people.
How do you use your income to spend, save and invest?
I do not invests my income, i spend it, i mean not now that I have much at hands, I spent my income, and I spent it on something worthy spending for.
Example taking care of younger siblings tuition fees etc.
In life there are challenges you can't do without, that is, no matter how you may want to give a blind ear, it will still speak to you.
Therefore, when it comes to this, I guess no one would have to tell you what to do, you will have to figure it out already on your own.

I invest my income, what I believe is that, with investment I would grow more higher, but spending on it, will leave me with nothing worthy at the end, I am not trying to say, those who spent their investment do not know what the do, because I believe they have their own reasons for doing so, but I believe in Investment Because investment is power.
Investment can turn your life around.
Investment can also change your level.

I thought I was the only one that noticed, the rewards are yet to drop - well maybe it's network!
