Life is full of lesson, either you learn the easy way or the hard, I decide to share this experience with everyone because today makes it a year. I got a call from a close friend of mine Daniel on the 29th December last year, a day I can never forget, Daniel studied fishery in federal university of agriculture, Abeokuta. We had lengthy conversation because it's been a while we talked since he just went for his nysc( National youth service Corp)at Edo state, during our chat on phone he decided to talked to me about an online investment platform which he got in to. How that as made him a lot of profit to start up his fish farming business.
Online platform called Quint essentials, he told me how he started investing in it since he got in to the nysc camp, how he has been investing all his money and how he has been making huge return of investment, I decided to get information on what is all about and how it works, I checked their online page on Instagram and as well their comment sections to see people's opinion about the investment, I got information about the owner of the company, what they invest in, which was forex trading, agriculture, real estate.
Then I gave it a try. I invested on their monthly plan which I am to get a return of investment in thirty days.
Few weeks after investing in it, I decided to check on their websites, to check on how my investment is growing, then I noticed their website wasn't coming up, I tried that for a while before checking their page on Instagram, then I noticed I wasn't the only one having that issue, a lot of investors are already lamenting, in a short while they assure everyone it was just a network issue which will be resolve shortly, days turned into weeks, week's turned into months the issue is still not resolved.
Lots of investors stormed into one of their office in lekki for refunds, in which they later confided with the manager of the investment company attributed the delay in payments to ‘banking issues. Then I realised that moment that I've been scammed.
I've personally achieved a wealth of knowledge and experience just from all of my own little mishaps, and a few major ones. I learnt a lot of lessons from this experience.
One of the things I've learnt was any investment you don't have control over is risky and not reliable.
Never invest in any online investment platform, ponzi scheme or business you don't know about, rather start up a business by of your own.
