Avoiding people who don't pass my proof-of-brain evaluation helps me keep my sanity
I prefer a normal job with weekends off. The important thing in life is engagement and our social circle. We came across many new people at work, out friends, colleagues become part of our life. We learn alot in the company of others. It's all about the finding balance in life. WFH is not something preferable for lifetime, it can be part-time. But excitement is going out and finding yourself and compete with yourself to make yourself better. Apart from this I don't think many of us have the luxury of WFH. It depends on profession and interests also.
I would choose to work from home because I can take care of my mother easily by staying at home at the same time.
My father works in Dubai so i have to take care of my mother and I can't stay out for much time.
for me working at home for myself is so much better than having to clock in somewhere every day i hate.
now i'm working from home, but i miss going out to work and seeing people and spending time away from home
You can enjoy the afternoon with your friends.
Normal Job
A normal job is what I prefer as long as I have creative freedom. But it is very difficult to find a job like this and even more difficult to keep. The reason I like a normal job is that it keeps me out of the house. The commute I have each day is 40 minutes by public transportation but I don't mind it. If I am at home the kids want my attention 110%.
As long as I have a job where I am needed then I am happy and my boss is happy. In return I get a pay check and some freedom. I have to go to work in all kinds of weather and when I am not feeling so good, but I think it is healthy for me. If I had to work at home I would have to segregate a room of the house like my office, but I know I will be under attack by my kids.
The problem with a "normal job" is that when you just do the minimum they get rid of you and when you do it well they offer you a promotion. This happened today and I was invited to move to a new district with higher pay and more responsibilities. I said no because I would be drained. I love my freedom and my health and I don't mind working at this "normal job" at all. It can be a lot of fun.
Ok totally agree with you on this, I'm not against a normal job all sort of because I have a normal job which I'm doing now and I'm also paid for it.
But my issue with Normal job is you tend to have less time for yourself, the job take almost all your time and give you less time to focus on other things which maybe productive to you.
However if I would quit my job today and take my trading life seriously I would be so happy because I would earn more though facing the market risk but it will give me diverse opportunity too and less stress to my health.

The key is to diversify while working for the man. Have a few gigs going and most importantly find what clicks inside you. If you have something others need then you are in business.
Working at home is my choice. I am learning forex and crypto trading. When I complete my course, I will invest in forex and crypto markets. I will also invest in Hive and POB. In fact, what my strategy for investing is all about. But now I also focus on creating content. All in all, work at home is my choice.

The reason is that being your own boss is always good and feels right as far as you're earning what gives you your daily bread.
When you work from home it makes you flexible to diversify and also chance to take care of yourself.
I'd prefer to be work from home as it offers me time to focus. It also help me keep up to daily targets without any form of distraction
I believe working at home is just the best mate, because it make you to have a little freedom to do what so ever you like
Though is never in our prayers to continue in this because a time will come when we will be tires if staying at home and if it is a situation were you dont have a good govt it will really affect of make many to regret it
However those people are are mainly on business to earn their living will not have the ability to go out and if this take place for a long time it will creat a lot of problems
Exactly man. For me I consider it as the best option to ensuring more productivity and better results. The level of freedom and calm is unparalleled. I believe lot of companies would have discovered how their staffs performances improved greatly during the lockdown.
Well it isn't the prayer of anyone for the pandemic or lockdown to go on forever but I believe it showed up or gave us a wake up call in the adaptability and change when it comes to work and life. for me staying at home never gets tiring or boring. Maybe because of my introverted nature. I find solace in working behind the scene and been indoors.
Kind of understand your point when it comes to government and all. It can be really terrible for people who are not proactive or have other options to earn a living. I believe we are all woke or brought to reality after witnessing the nonchalant attitude of the government.
The need to create or have a side hustle has always been always been something we all need to have in the advent of an unforseen circumstance. The lockdown really affected certain businesses but there were some that were unaffected. The agriculture and health business are those that will always thrive no matter the situation that befalls the world has man will always need food and medical care.
That is just the truth but no matter what some of the company doesn't not believe working at home is the best for them because their believe staff will feel relent and take an advantage of staying at home
Yes the lockdown as really wake up slot of people, and make them to know the most reason while their really need to have other source of income to support their work
The government as not in anyway help the matter at all,and that is the most reason why many are not happy about the way their were being kept at home and nothing is being done about it..
The thing is most of this companies don't which their staff well in their endeavor the reason they will always to confine them in the physical workspace. Their fears is quite understandable but to address that it is quite easy. The question that should be asked is how they determine the productive or a staff? They simply measure their metric to work today. If there is no decline in performance, reward should given while when employees fall short in their performance, then something is wrong and punishment should administered to ensure things are the way it ought to be.
Thanks to the lockdown we seem to have more businesses open up. Just like the great depression that happened some years back. The lockdown helps people search deep and come out with their best and they tend to unravel their creative abilities and unveil another dimension of themselves.
Terrible governments we have this days especially in some be regions of Africa. I heard their was no palliative or some provisions made to alleviate the terrible conditions that befall certain individuals in the previous lock down. Under developed companies need to do better if not the state of anarchy can be unleashed. I feel it is needed in some countries if they want this plague called corruption to be evacuated from their countries. Certain situations are necessary if we need really changes.
Though knockdown shouldn't be was we should be praying for is never easy when it comes to sitting at home, I wish have been in a community like this during the period we went for knockdown it would have been more easier for me because it will given me a ground to learn and share more knowledge here in the house
True talk as the knockdown as really open the eyes of so many people and also walk them up to do more than engaging in one job without side hustling as for me I believe have learnt alot
In fact I don't want to even speak about the government again because their seems not to have humans feeling all their do is to fight for themselves alone which is very bad
I like both but to be honest work from home sometimes become boring.
you miss going out with friends and eating something when you are on your way back to home.
So there is a mix reaction as there are advantages and disadvantages of both.
I am still a student of high school so for me i think if i can get some work from home thing it will be good. Also i can't say now at this point of time whether i will choose this as my choice in future or not.
hi @kamran-rkploy Work is work, depending on the situation, but human beings are often incomprehensible. Before we complained about having a normal daily job, with a boss, schedules, colleagues, friends, and even that character that we don't like at all. Now, in the midst of the pandemic, most of us have to work from home. and sometimes we miss the daily work we were already used to.
I particularly prefer to work from home. for the comfort and I can enjoy a lot with my loving family. and sleep one more hour :)

Hello Friends, How are you all? Let's talk about Hive and POB today. Most of us are new here on POB. I only started POB less than 2 weeks ago. I have been active on hive blog for more than a month. But since is became aware of POB everything changed completely, POB is exciting and full of surprises. It may take some time to get accustomed to POB. Many people on hive are still unaware of POB and other communities. I also in started with Hive blog and then found about Leofinance, POB etc. But till now POB is my favourite and I loved the rule of POB - You must have a Brain 😊. So how's your transition from Hive or other communities to POB. Please share your experience on POB so far.
After signing up on hive about 3years ago, didn't really do much around here till late last year (30th of December). Sportstalk helped greatly in me picking up the interest on hive, due to that I got to share sport contents occasionally.
The game changer for me happened when I stumbled on the proofofbrain platform. The very first day I got attracted. It's been close to two months now and i just somehow find myself showing up here every day. Never missed a day since 1st week of May. Guess I'm an addict for POB
That's great dear. I also had same experience. Joined steemit 4 years ago stayed active for few months then left everything for studies, came back in May only. Didn't even knew about hard fork and Hive. I logged into steemit account after 3.5 years and found it just dead. Did some digging, found about hive and other stuff. Hive is better than steemit no doubt but POB is something that changed everything. It's exciting and interesting. For me POB is better than steemit and Hive. But still there is long way ahead of POB.
Yeah hive is way better than steemit. POB also certainly got something working out for it.
Under such short time it has really shown great potential for growth. Looking forward to see where we are at by December.
One thing is for I sure, I will be enjoying the excitement and all what not that comes along the way
I wish for pob-only notifications and faster voting delay, but I'm generally pretty happy with it so far. Ads show up only quick enough to get spotted. They get my attention, but they're not intrusive. It's perfect.
Indeed Notifications are very necessary and required. I request the POB developers to please add a notification tab in POB Menu.
I agree, I'm use to a notifications tab; it'll be nice to see POB introduce one. I agree about the ads, they don't bother me.
faster voting is actually needed and if possible notification for only pob will be great. maybe developers can Develop it in future
I saw on multiple occasions the pob community's members post in the trending post on my hive profile. I got interested in the article under this tag proof of brain. It took no time for me to find about the pob talk initiative. I keep following great content available on the proof of brain website.

Personally don't mind the UI much.. replies section covers most I need to engage and keep up to date. Notifications would be nice but no biggie if it's not anytime soon.
