Making our lives here on earth a memorable one is something that is of paramount importance.
I wouldn't say it doesn't matter how one is being remembered, it matters alot to be remembered because of our good deeds - I mean what could be better than that.
Wherever we find ourselves at all times we should be able to leave the people we meet with good memories about us, in that way, we will be remembered!

Living your life--to its fullest. I would rather live a life I enjoy than one that I am remembered for. I actually do not see any use in being remembered.
