My family we are going to my dads farm to harvest his soya beans. Well actually the beans has been harvested and we are going to process and package it.
We left home around 11AM. There are about six of us my dad, myself and four of my brothers. We have a lot of work ahead of us at the farm so we’re going to be staying there for a day or 2, sonI have my back pack stuffed with some clothes and supplies.
My dad‘s Farm is at a place called Pigu. We got to Pigu at 12PM, an hour after we departed and we waited for the tractor to arrive so we could start work. When the tractor got here, we spread some rubber cover on the floor to collect soya seeds that might fall off while we work.
The work itself started by cutting soya from the pile gathered here and feeding it into the corn seller machine connected to the Tractor. This separates the seeds to come out through the back and spits away the residue or thrash left. My kid brother is squatting there collecting the seeds into basin and pouring it into a sack.
We worked for only 2 hours and the machine broke down. It seemed like one of the metal parts of the machine broke and the Tractor owner had to take it into the village to weld.
We were hungry and tired at this point anyways. We went into our mud tent, took some food, prayed, rested for close to 2 hours when the Tractor guy came back with the welded metal and got the Tractor running again.
We went back to work until it was almost 6:20PM and we called it a day. We went i to prayed, bathed, had supper and prepared for bed in our mud tents.
Today was not very tiring and the greater part of our work will be done tomorrow.
