Hahaha! Ok, this does seem like something that deserves a little ‘splainin’…so here’s the deal. I started on Hive as albuslucimus, crazy chaos magician and flute player…this occurred during that “ten years gone” phase where I wasn’t playing guitar and I wanted to post flute videos without them finding there way to anyone connected to my phone number…that was actually how I found Hive.
In May, I decided to get back into acoustic performances and start looking for gigs, so I created the rorykl account to give me a page with nothing but acoustic performances to share with venues - without making them sort through all of the weird car-fluting shit etc. I’ve done some advertising of rorykl from albuslucimus, but not the other way around. So that account is the weird/wild/crazy/ anything goes personal blog account essentially, while this one is strictly my professional (ish) music account.
Honestly I wondered if you’d see that reply or not. Probably even hoped you wouldn’t! …but I think it’s cool you did, cuz otherwise you’d never have heard about the wild side (since I don’t advertise it). I don’t duplicate content across accounts though, so if you’re interested in that behind the scenes bit (or crazy videos of playing a South American flute while operating a motor vehicle), you may dig it. Either way, I do apologize for the confusion and I hope the semantics don’t ruin a good thing…you’re one of the few that regularly engages with the music side and it really has become my priority! I’m happy to answer any other questions if they come to mind - this is just a basic explanation of how things came to be the way they are :)
