St. Patrick's Day Find
I'm always on the look out for mushrooms for a Fungi Friday post.
Usually it's my local golf course that delivers. There's a section of forestry to left of the 8th hole where I always go to look for a few golf balls as it's always easy to find five or six balls in 5 or 10 minutes if I'm just out practicing, but that's not where I discovered these mushrooms.
There's only one word to describe this mass of mushrooms - a plethora of mushrooms!
It was on Monday and we'd just parked or car before the St. Patrick's day parade.
The parade was excellent and our whole family marched in it as usual, as our three sons play for the club and I'm one of the coaches.
As you can see there were lots of happy little faces as we marched through Galway's streets. Not as happy as me though when I set eyes on these mushrooms after parking the car!
Here's a few more snaps of said plethora of shromes!
And a few more from the parade...
What is Fungi Friday?
First things first, have a look on the #fungifriday community and scroll back to some of @ewkaw's Friday posts to hear all about it and get snapping the next time that you see mushrooms in the wild.
My golf course is great for mad looking mushrooms and it is in fact soon going to be that time of year when these guys start sprouting up around the golf course again and I always like sharing these photos as they're pretty cool if I may say so myself.
Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.
Peace Out

That's definitely a heap of mushrooms!
Heaps indeed! Another good word, not as good as plethora, but good!! 😎😀🤣
The amount of fungus growing I have never seen such an amount of mushrooms growing anywhere but it is beautiful and weird at the same time.
Ya man, a whack load of them! Whenever I see mushrooms I instantly think of @ewkaw
