FungiFriday: 'Tall Girl' in the Meadow

This is my weekly contribution to #FungiFriday hosted by @ewkaw.

Indonesia is currently experiencing a rainy season with high rainfall frequency, but it will shortly transition to a dry season. Yes, Indonesia is a tropical country with only two seasons: the rainy season, which lasts from October to April, and the dry season, which lasts from May to September.

When it comes to hunting mushrooms, there are still two months left before the dry season begins. Although the weather in this area might be unpredictable at times, constant rain can occur during the dry season and vice versa.

So, today I'd like to share some mushroom pics that I took yesterday morning in a village in Lhokseumawe.

If I remember it correctly, this is a fungus known as the common conecap or Conocybe tenera from the genus of Conocybe.

Conocybe tenera is a saprotrophic mushroom with a cap and gills that are cinnamon-brown in color, while some are conical and smooth.

It has a tall stem without an annulus (ring) with a texture similar to that of a wooden twig. This species is found in meadows and, as far as I'm aware, is toxic and therefore inedible.

You have two months to stack up some photos :D

Those here, with all the grasses around look like something I could shoot here.

For the time being, I have an abundance of mushrooms.. haha 😄

When I go mushroom hunting, I always bring a cement spoon. As a result, I'll be able to relocate the mushrooms to a location with a pleasing backdrop. To come up with a cool catch, you may need to use a trick. But then I realized I had forgotten to bring it. So I merely snapped photos under ordinary situations.

Beautiful 🍂

Thank you 🙂
