This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw
About three days ago I went mushroom hunting again & the location I went to was the usual location where I often find mushrooms, namely in my parents' cocoa plantation area. When I arrived I immediately looked for several places where mushrooms usually grow there, my efforts were not in vain I managed to find several variants of mushrooms there even though I didn't have time to photograph them all because time forced me to immediately go home to attend a traditional event in the village where I live.
And on this edition of FungiFriday 11 October 2024 I want to share two mushroom variants that I managed to capture a few days ago, The first fungus is a fungus in the Marasmiaceae family that I found growing on cocoa leaves. I did not succeed in identifying in more detail the species of this mushroom but I personally am more convinced that this mushroom may be part of the Marasmius pulcherripes fungus.
Then the second mushroom is a mushroom known as ear mushroom or jelly ear, this mushroom is one of the edible mushrooms with a chewy jelly-like texture. Scientifically, this fungus that likes to grow on rotten wood is called Auricularia auricula-judae, and here are some photos:
