I got a little surprise that day, and it came right in front of my door on my small front yard. And these surprises allow me to make the post here in the community. I must say that this is such a nice surprise because sometimes I need to go out to find them, and now it is right in front of my house, a few steps away from my camera box.
I just grab my camera and start taking photos of this mushroom that grew on the small woodcut that I just tossed in one of the polybags, where I planted chilli. I have seen this woodcut become the host for a few small fungi in the past, but I never expected to see this kind of big mushroom grow on it.
It is a big mushroom, and because of that I decided not to use my macro set up to take the photos, but instead I just use my 50 mm Lens so that I could get the whole mushroom in the frame. Otherwise, only part of the mushroom that I could photograph with my macro setup. But I still like the result, because of its beauty and also with the fact of how easy I find them. :)

Mushrooms must be sturdy plants to grow in a place like that with sparse vegetation. And it really does look big and fresh :)
