This is my entry for #FungiFriday initiated by @ewkaw
I am not talking about the one that eats a lot, but talking about the one that literally eats the hard food that can be found int he nature. Isn't it very amazing to know how some fragile mushrooms can eat the hard material or used to be a hard material, and then break it down to a smaller matter?
Today I have a few mushroom that literally eat up some of the hard material out there, maybe not as hard as the wood, but we all know how durable they can be before it is eaten by the soft mushroom.
The first one that I found is these cluster of small mushroom that is growing on a decaying coconut husk. If you have seen the coconut and the husk, you will understand how hard and durable the material is, and yet these mushtooom can thrive in that condition.
They are so powerful and also very beautiful isn't it? but looking at the size and the color of these mushroom, we all know how fragile they can be.
Next, I have these mushrooms that is growing on bamboo, they already doing their job of breaking it down. the funny thing and an amazing thing also is that there are a few species in the same bamboo, and they are equally beautiful.
If you look closely you can see that there are two mushrooms that live side by side in this part of the bamboo, both are striving, and both have the same job to eat up all those hard part the plant and break it down.
And then here I have a different white-capped mushroom as well. very beautiful.
