Walking in the forest is always a pleasure. One day, we decided to explore a forest in the next county to us. As we walked along the footpath, we stumbled across a log covered in a plethora of fungi.
Fungi are nature's recyclers, breaking down dead organic matter and returning nutrients to the soil. Nature is very clever.
My phone is telling me they are chanterelles but it's not always correct.
Whatever they were, they looked really interesting. Their colours and unique shapes stood out.

Nice photos. I wish these were edible and growing in my garden! Then I could cook them for my dinner!
