They don't always look so pretty and chubby and they don't always grow in a perfectly visible clean spot among some green mosses. This is one of my favourite shots by the way. The low angles are perfect for the little guys.
Some will hide among twigs and under the bushes and will look a bit miserable.
Strike a pose guys - you are gonna be shot anyway! :D
I was playing with focus on the two shots below :)
Yes yes... keep hiding.
I know you are there!
I normally don't clean the mess around them when it is this thick. I would probably pull some twig or grass that the mushroom is attached to and I would have nothing to shoot. It is a lot easier on more open spaces when moving just a few things does the job (or when the mushrooms grown on some small piece of wood and you can just move to any spot you want).
And this one is just so damn out of focus artistic :D
Bonus spring shots:
A bugger from the same place and some plant that I keep seeing starting to grow very early in the spring spring, but I cannot figure out what it is. The leaves look a bit like tulips, but I am sure that's not tulip.

No!!! it is impossible for them to hide from your keen eye! :-)
Beautiful pictures!
Hahah I know their tricks :p
Thank you :)
😂 👍
I can smell them! :D
I would like that too! 😂
This has me mesmerized. You should have led with this 😀
😂😂 that is true.
Ewkaw knows how to find them :))
Someone took a chunk out of this poor mushroom, the first one I mean. I had to stage my photos a bit by brushing some debris out of the way.
Psst nobody needs to know. I like your blurry photos, I mean artistic photos very much. I live within this realm and welcome all fellow picture taking kitties, humans or whatnot 😀

You really had their time today, and you seized the opportunity to take fine shots.
I wouldn't know if there they are other species. I generally call them mushrooms.
Nice shots by the way
Cheers
Thank you. I just call them mushrooms too. Except a very few types that I know the names. Not many though.
Hello dear friend @ewkaw good night
Excellent mushrooms that you have found, I appreciate that you let us know these beautiful images
I'm reading your post, and you remind me of what happened to us this afternoon while we were looking for fungus in a field near our house; It is as you say, we found some very small ones hidden behind the small branches or the undergrowth.
I already have material for next Friday
Have a beautiful night
Yea you have to really look for them. They hide well.
Looking forward to see what you found :)
Without a doubt, next Friday I will present a post about it
enjoy the weekend
unique mushroom, I really like it
Love the blurry, dreamy look on the one you said out of focus.
it is so lovely.
hhmmm the dung beetle seems to smell some food coming in so that he comes out. . muahahah
Thanks! I normally delete the blurry ones right away. But this one was too cool for that :)
