FungiFriday - The moss kingdom

moss mushrooms pl 7.jpg

Have you ever been in the forest right after the rain? With the large drops still falling from the trees when the slightest wind shakes them, the birds slowly get back to their usual activities and chirping an the sun slowly shows up again?

The crystal clear air, clean from all the dust and filled with the smell of wet soil, moss and leaves. Everything is fresh and looks so much better.

That was one of those days. Except that the rain caught me in the forest, but getting wet was all worth it. All the shiny drops around, silence an fresh air around me. So calming and so relaxing despite the wet clothes.

Most of the forest was covered in pine needles and dead leaves. And then from time to time the large patches of fresh green moss was showing up, like islands among the brown dirt. After the rain it looked even better!

The one, big, red Amanita was the king if that spot.

And tons of the little ones that found the prefect place to grow. There were few types scattered around. None of them edible, so I just walked around making sure I don't step on any an enjoyed the view.

No mushrooms here. Just the soft, green pillows of moss. I liked how the sun hits it with all the little shadows around it.

Lastly one lovely blurry photo where the camera refuse to focus on the little shrooms. It focused on the sticking pine needles instead. I guess they were way more interesting...

Great photos!
"Dusty" rains have been going on in Cyprus for several days☹️
So there is no need to talk about fresh air ☹️

Awww... we will probably get all the possible dust in summer again. I am not looing forward to it at all.

@ewkaw I don't really look forward to it either 😉
But it is with our opinion, unfortunately, is not considered! 😒

Hello dear friend @ewkaw good night
Without a doubt, it has been worth getting wet with these beautiful varieties of mushrooms that you have found. Excellent find, appreciate you showing us around
have a wonderful weekend

Oh yes it was (as long as it is not too cold).
Thank you and have a great weekend yourself.

Moss and mushrooms are two very well-matched pairs. Both represent the natural beauty of each other :)

Indeed :)

If you say, have you ever been in the wilderness after the rain fell..Of course I have, friend, because I am a mushroom hunter. But the type of mushroom that is orange in color, I have to say Awww.. because while I was hunting for these types of mushrooms. Never Find or see a type of mushroom like that in my place. It's absolutely perfect in my opinion Once again I say it's a spectacular discovery....

And you have so many mushrooms there that I cannot find here... Variety is good!
Thank you :)

The red umbrella-like mushroom that I really like, hopefully in the future I can find it.

Hope so :) They are cool.

Those times after a fresh rain are my favorite. Especially the sun showers that drop by once in awhile to shake things up a bit.

Amanita stealing the show again with their bright clothes. Typical... 😀

#HappyFungiFriday

They are shameless :D
Look at me.. me me me!

I really like Amanita mushrooms, and I have never found this type of mushroom in my area.

Maybe you have other Amanita types, not the red ones..

this really looks so beautiful, the mushroom looks more attractive with the presence of moss on the bottom of the mushroom, such a perfect combination

Thanks :))

Near or far my friend... You always do something "poetic" with your photos!... Bravo!

Oh wow, que fotos más bonitas, los colores y todo esta hermoso, muy buen trabajo 📸

Thank you :)

I love these photos. That red Amanita is so perfect, what a shot. I went outside early this morning and noticed a few toadstools have come up in the lawn. I have no idea what species they are, but maybe they deserve a photo or two 😊

They definitely do deserve. But hurry up - some are very short lived!
Thank you :)

I realised that when I went outside after the sun had hit midday and the toadstools were looking rather wonky and sad already, but I managed to get one or two cute shots before they shrivelled away like the witch in the Wizard of Oz 🤣

Mushhroom, Musshhhhroom! Also very noice that its finally spring there in poland.

And not using images from a year ago, ahhahahahh.

I'll be keeping a lookout for those poppy post!

Also very noice that its finally spring there in poland.

No year, but last fall.. heh tricked ya :D

Oh yea... because I am definitely that old. Busted...
:D :D

Beautiful pictures 🙌🤩

Thank you :)

It was true that the fungus grew crazily after the rain, but it was a pity that the life span of these beautiful plants was very short.

where the camera refuse to focus on the little shrooms

Cameras have their own mind and wish :D

Oh wow, that Amanita is so beautiful!!! 😍

And they do not want do listen sometimes. Must be the cats influence..
