FungiFriday - the tinny little guys

Tiny mushroom woods pl 2.jpg

A long time ago, when I was just starting to enjoy taking photos with something better than the simple point-and-shoot cameras, I was always trying to find the smallest possible mushrooms. It was amazing to be able to shoot them and they would actually be in focus, and then I could see clearly how they looked like on the big PC screen.

Years later, after another camera upgrade, I still enjoy it. But I am not so picky anymore. I just shoot them all - big and small! :D
They all have their own charm. The delicate tiny ones on their skinny legs that you really have to look hard to see, and the big ones that act like kings of the forest, with colours, spots, and lovely gills.

Today, a few of the little ones will have their 5 minutes of blockchain fame :)

These were all shot in Polish woods. And while they are not the smallest I have ever found, they are right up there. It is also not easy to spot them when you have a beautiful forest around and all the big splashy ones are looking at you from a distance and you just want to shoot them all.

Here is a little speedy bonus - a Woolf Spider was looking for his next meal. They do not build spiderwebs. They run on the ground looking for prey instead.

Very beautiful photos!

Thanks a lot!
Welcome back :)

Hi, nice tiny ones beautiful shots. Happy fungi Friday Greetings 😊🙏

Thank you :)

You are quite right, taking pictures of small mushrooms is always a great challenge, although in particular, I love all the types of mushrooms that may exist and are available to photograph.
Beautiful find, you have very keen eyesight to see the spider so well hidden among those small branches
enjoy the weekendhow are you dear friend @ewkaw good afternoon

Thank you! The spider was moving a lot, so it was easy to spot :)
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful captures, I like the lonely guy…
I should go out with my camera again and not just my phone.
Happy weekend 👋🏻😊

Oh you definitely should :) But I now it is just so fast and easy with phone sometimes.

Yes… I should.
The problem for me is mostly my back problems. The camera is too heavy right now or carry gear around.
The tiling for the mother in-law didn’t help me either. So need to be careful at the moment.
I hope I can take the camera when we go on holidays in October. 🤞🏻🍀
Luckily I do have my phone now 😋
Have a great Sunday!

Wolf spider? I hope he would not think of the little lonely mushroom that is Czerwony Kapturek 😂

Hahahah only if the are red :p

Those beautiful mushrooms...
Cool Wolf Spiders, they used to walk around on the ground 😁

Thank you :)
