Apparently they aren't under any protection here, seems like they don't even need it- poisoned from bottom to the top!
Pops out in early spring and most comfortable in mid shady places with lots of humidity.
Poisonous? That I didn't know.
Yea, in the garden they pop on their own in early spring too. Just plant the bulb deep enough and that's it.
That's what I read about, no one eats them. :D
