Fungi Friday

My contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

Peace be with all of us who have been in this beloved community without us realizing that Friday has arrived again even though it feels like just yesterday I posted about fungi and today I am very happy to hear Friday so without further ado, let's discuss about the fungi that I have. find in the forest of Aceh.

Here are two types of fungi that I have found, namely:

20220415_152708.jpg
Daldinia concentrica

20220415_165657.jpg
Fomitopsis pinicola

The two types of mushrooms I looked for in the Aceh forest, where I live a little difficult to find mushrooms because there are no large dead wood and I'm really looking for them that's all I can find on this occasion, seeing the two types of mushrooms are the same -sama I found it on dead damp wood in the Aceh forest where I live, and these types of mushrooms are both poisonous but the poison from them is not so dangerous, it's still not allowed to eat mushrooms like that.

Indeed, who wants to eat mushrooms like that from the looks of it doesn't seem like how to eat, now the name of the first mushroom is Daldinia concentrica.

The inedible fungus Daldinia concentrica is known by several common names, including King Alfred's cake, cramp balls, and coal fungus.source

Usually this type of mushroom has a variety of colors, while the color that I share today is red which is a little brown for its shape as we can see it tends to be round and sometimes there is even this mushroom that is round like a ping pong ball, but generally what I usually find is smaller. instead of a ping pong ball for the results of some of the pictures below I have prepared it.

So, those are some pictures of the type of mushroom Daldinia concentrica that I show now, let's go on to mushroom number two, namely Fomitopsis pinicola, a name like that, of course, we rarely hear, yes, that's right because we rarely reveal that name because it is a scientific name. of the fungus, while the name we can mention for this mushroom is wood mushroom.

Actually this type of mushroom also has a variety of colors there are brown, yellow, and red, while the color I share today as you can see with brown mixed with yellow and it really caught my attention when I found him, for the size of This mushroom is not so small and not too big, just standard, and some of these mushrooms are very thin and some are thick, like the picture I show today.

Generally this type of thin mushroom is deep orange or let's say maroon colored it is generally very thin and on average this fungus can last quite a long time and will wilt unless it is often exposed to the sun and even then if the sun is very hot if the sun is only exposed for a while maybe it is not a problem for you. this type of mushroom.

For the scientific name of this fungus as I have mentioned above, namely Fomitopsis pinicola and a more detailed explanation is

Fomitopsis pinicola, is a stem decay fungus common on softwood and hardwood trees. Its conk is known as the red-belted conk. The species is common throughout temperate Europe and Asia, and Nova Scotia. It is a decay fungus that serves as a small-scale disturbance agent in coastal rainforest ecosystemsSource

Instead of being curious about some pictures of wood mushrooms, I mean that, let's check with some of the pictures that I have also prepared below.

Some of the pictures of the mushrooms above, I took all of them using the Samsung Galaxy S20 android phone camera and when I took them the lighting was very minimal, therefore the picture didn't look so perfect and please understand, my friends, I also tried to take some pictures from different angles so that can see more clearly every angle that I show.

As for the image editing process, I only use the android application, namely Adobe Lightroom and I only use a few tools, such as reducing the fog effect and reducing noise, the rest are all color results from the mushroom itself, I hope you are entertained.

On this occasion, maybe that's all I can share with all of you, some of the types of fungi that I found in the forests of Aceh, for all my friends, go ahead to display your best mushrooms in this beloved community.

You've found some unique and cool mushrooms and picked them up with a very good technique. 😍

happy to entertain. Thank you very much for your support and good comments, friends. have a nice day.

The first one is strange indeed! Does it have medicinal properties?

no. it's just an ordinary fungus growing on wood. . Thank you for visiting.

Very unique species of mushrooms , since they're not edible are there any medicinal values to them?

As far as I know it doesn't exist, because it's just an ordinary wood mushroom
