Hola, Friday!
The day reminded me of the snapshots we took over a week ago while traversing the roads of MK where a bunch of colorful mushrooms or fungi, whatever you wish to call them, are sprouting. They come in yellows, polka dots, blacks, grays, and pinks too!
And no, they aren't the real thing (but I thought they could still be showcased on the #FungiFriday initiative by Ewkaw).
They are the creative crafts of local folks who worked tirelessly for a few days, cutting, painting, and finally installing them on the steep walls about half a kilometer from the town's border.

The road beautification program in the region certainly encourages people to showcase their creativity in various ways. Not only did they plant ornamentals, but also upcycled materials such as the hard exterior shells of coconuts (coconut husks), used car and bike tires, umbrellas, and such.
Well, we were amazed at how they thought of things like that. Not so long ago, I wished to find colorful and polka-dotted fungi, and seeing these bunches along the highway kinda made that wish come true, even when they are only artificial.

And I'm sure not many have seen cheerful dalmatians chatting along the road, or have you?
These two made me smile as we passed by. They are quite adorable, aren't they? I applaud whoever came up with the design concept. It is simply an ingenious way to reuse one of the common waste materials in the locality. Rain boots are discarded every so often and what better way to use them than to decorate the roadsides?

At first, I wondered what these were supposed to be until the hubby said they were ants. And looking at them a little closer, I realized he was right. Fire ants, we call them because they are red, and they sting. At least these don't, so even if I poke them, I would be safe, lol!

But yes, they were a fun sight, even my Lil Guy could not help but look back as we sped away.

There were more decorative pieces along that route, but I wasn't fast enough to take snapshots of everything. There will be next time, of course!

Well, this is all from me today, and here's to wishing everyone a fantabulous day and weekend, frens!

Now that's truly something...
The dalmatians are the most inspiring pieces I think 😂😂😂
Cause how does one even think of such...
A wonder what creatives can do with the oddest of materials 😂✨
You said it! Just amazing how things turn out in the hands of creative people.
Pretty obvious not real by the colors😅 yellow ones and big red could have tricked, but the others too much... A nice to have in a own garden tough, outside I dunno, some small children could go and eat them thinking it's candies
Haha, yeah. Your idea of having them in the garden is brilliant, and I think children would not dare eat them because their sizes are big but maybe kids will think they are toys or something, lol!
Quite an interesting and thoughtful thing to do. See, they made your wish come true!
They did! I was fascinated to find them there, hehe.
I’m sure you were.
At first I really thought it was an edible colourful mushroom 🍄
Would be cool if they were real :)
Hello dear friend @ifarmgirl, how are you?
What a beautiful area you've found, and what you do to decorate these spaces is admirable.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy Easter Sunday.
Hello, my friend. Thank you for your greetings. It's the Lenten season indeed, and here's to wishing you a glorious Easter💗
Ang cute MgA nilang tingnan sis. Yung MgA little mushroom at Dalmatian. Pero Yung ants natawa ako, para siyang sampalok😂
Haha, oo nga noh. Parang sampalok talaga, buti na lang nilagyan ng mga mata😅
Real mushrooms or fungi are beautiful and the artificial ones can't replace the beauty of the real ones and those pictures are one kind of proof of it. You can easily understand the difference.

You're right about that, Inti. It's just amazing how people's creativity bring about things like that
If we find such things somewhere, that day will be a happy one because these are rare things and are quite beautiful. They have many benefits in our lives if we start using them.
It's fascinating to see them adding some fun colors to the streets in the locality.
I was wondering at first how those colorful mushrooms came up😅😅😅
They look amazing
Some people's imaginations are so creative that they come up with things like that :)
Your photos of the roadside art installations are adorable. The creativity and upcycling of materials like coconut husks, tires, and rain boots are impressive. The colorful mushrooms and dalmatian designs brought a smile to my face. Great job showcasing these unique art pieces
