While wandering in the mountains during a long hike in august this year, climbing rocksโฆ crossing streamsโฆ searching for paths, I found this #BRIGHT #RED MUSHROOM ๐
It stood out sooooo much. I donโt think I ever saw such a bright red coloured mushroom.

The mushroom photos are taken with my phone ๐ on 17 August 2024 during a long hike in the mountains โฐ๏ธ
Letโs have a closer look at this RED mushroom now.
It was standing on the bottom of a very steep rock-side, between pine needles and low #vegetation of the mountainous area. I definitely wasn't expecting to find a mushroom here. Luckily I did and can show you today ๐
Itโs very young, the cap and stem very fresh, shiny and new.
I capture this cute mushroom from every angle to show its beauty.

Maybe it is hiding for me hahaha ๐คฃ

It's like it's straight out of a fairytale! I keep looking for the pixies in your photos! I'm not sure if that's an edible mushroom, but it sure is magnificently beautiful!

Nice picture of "the sickener" aka Russula emetica. They look amazing but aren't edible as you guessed from the common name. There is a green version of it called Russula virescens that is a great edible that can be eaten without cooking.
